Well, I know from experience, being a passenger in a 05 STi that raced a S2000, and the S2000 cannot out run it. From a roll or stop. Now the EVo is basically the same as a STi so my guess is that a S2000 would have a hard time. S2000 has what approx 200-210 whp. Sti/Evo has about 240-250 AWHP....I don't know the S2000 1/4 times but I know the STi runs like a 12.9-13.5 depending on driver skill.

yeah it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the evo/sti were faster than the S2000 from a roll.
i've heard kill stories saying otherwise, but we all know the faster car does not always win.

I'll come clean here just a tad.. I took on an STI for fun and I had it in in my rear view mirror by 60 mph..
They get great launches he hung with me until about 40mph and actually got a better launch.
I havent a clue how an s2000 would compare to them. The STI is a great car until 60mph or even 100 like the evo, but after that they sorta loose thier punch. I figure the s2000 would be a little better from a roll, however thier top speeds are simular. I call it a drivers race
my friends have a wrx and an s2000. His s2000 beat the wrx base version by about half a car length. So I call drivers race. Of course we were toying around and not going above the speed limit. Just accelerating fast to it

Just wondering, would an awd car loose a greater % of hp to the ground than a 2wd car?
It seems the awd car would have more whp loss due to the extra effort needed to turn those additional axles and so on.

P.S. the cars are both modded too.
Here is an intresting READ
I know I wouldnt mess w/ them in my RA

I don't know man, I love the S2k but i'm not too sure if its gonna pull on either of those cars. I have been in Sti's, S2000's, but not an evo yet. I was even in a supercharged s2000.
I would say the SC'd S2k would be a better match for the evo/sti. And more of a fair fight. FI 4 cylinder vs another FI 4 cylinder

15% powerloss is more like it. thats 235whp on a EVO. Still more than a S2000. The question is who has more torque...thats what wins races....You can have all the HP in the world but be a gutless wonder in the torque department.......lol....look at NASCAR....700 HP and like 300 torgue.....see?

if that was the case, the 302lb/ft torque mustang GT would be faster than the 153lb/ft torque S2000. but that's not the case.
what will matter is powerband, gearing, wheel circumference, and weight.
