Scary highway experience

tonight while coming home from the street races i pulled onto the street before getting on the highway and when i went to shift my throttle just went to the floor and then back to normal. i was like wow thats wierd. so im like i guess i'll look at it tomarrow when i get home. then when getting on the highway my throttle just got stuck again but didn't get off the floor. so im freaking out and shift it into neutral from about 100 and its revving like hell and shut off the car. which means i had no breaks. but luckly the highway was not busy so i slowed down on the sholder hitting my breaks as hard as i could and pulling the e-brake. i got out and opened the hood to take a look. it was a street glow wire that was holding down the throttle. hmm i knew street glow was a bad idea, just took 8 months to find out why.

I had that happen to me too. I was on 170, and my breather got loose and stuck at my throttle cable. I had to shut off the car and pull over. scared the $hit out of me.

After you turned off your car you could have turned the ignition to on without starting the car and had steering and brakes.

chances are if it's a street race spot, the cops already know about it, so he's not really telling anyone anything new by posting it.

for example, the street races here are at the same exact locations where they were 30 years ago. the cops know they race at the same damn places every friday and saturday night. whether or not they have the time to come break it up is another story. and even then, usually they just roll through and everyone just goes to another location or comes back to the same one 20 minutes later.

You got lucky nice to hear nothing happened to you or your car. Get those dam wires moved to a different location before you get you or your car seriously injured.

yeah no powersteering you still have the e-brake tough... luckily I wasnt in the highway or anything I was racing atm and it got stuck cuz i floored it too hard. I was all the way in the right lane so pulled over to the right with strength(no p/s) and opened the hood and the nitrous microswitch was stuck onto the throttle cable. Some other civic passed me and revved his car like crazy. I was like what the hell forget him. I fixed my **** and went on with my journey
Having no power steering isnt all that hard. All the older cars have no steering which I drove.

just like here its been going on there for decades my dad used to race there when he was a kid, and people have been raceing there in general sine the 50's. so its not anykind of new news just new groups of people and new types of cars. Haul Street is like known for street raceing and junkyards.

You still had brakes, just not the assistance of the brake booster. No vaccum going through it.

hydralic pressure owns you!
