I really need to invest in a video cam. It will save me a lot of trouble, or maybe get me in trouble. I'm just pissed that I'm missing the best weather to race in right now. With the current temps and a few more runs I would be holding that 14sec slip. Damn you Air Force!

What are you launching at to need DRs?
My very dependable 1/4 calculator say it takes 2000lbs and 136 hp to get 15.1, 2600lbs (assuming your car is 2500lbs and your 100lbs) and 180hp (50shot) to reach 15.1. I thinks ill run somewhere around 15.0 on a 50 shot, and there is NO ****ING way a DX with bolt ons could hang!
If you wanna question my "calculator" check it out
http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/quartmile.html
Some examples it gave me.
05 s2000 2890 lbs 240 hp = 14.1 (for s2000man
05 rsx-s 2840 lbs 210hp = 14.7
04 civic dx 2400 115hp= 17.1
04 SRT4 2800lbs 240hp =14.0
V6 accord 03 3200lbs 240 hp= 14.7

I use this calculator. Lets you input wheel HP or flywheel.
http://robrobinette.com/et.htm
I think they all assume you are running normal street tires and do not include driver weight.
so according to this on my only run on my normal 17" street tires, 15.4 I am making somewhere around 120whp. My estimated weight of my car is 2250bs, but I don't know for sure. I need to get dynoed and weighed when I return. And if you are running a 50 shot and running 15.0 then yes I will hang with you maybe even beat you. This car is capable of a high 14sec run, just need more practice. I've also cut several near perfect lights, best being a .503. I'm stationed in shreveport LA. I don't know where your from, but if your anywhere close by let me know and I can make you a believer.

any form of 1/4 mile "calculator" is about as accurate as your local weather man. you can't just say here's my hp and here's my weight, what's my 1/4 mile.
there is SO MUCH beyond that it's not even funny. gearing, power band, red line, tires, suspension, driver skill, etc. hp and weight can't tell you **** about your 1/4 mile time.

HAHAHA!! your fuking nuts!! so your telling me that your driving skills ALONE can make up about 60whp over my n20 fed civic!!
qiut
and fess up and admit your using the imfamous "SNEAKY PETE"DUDE.....if our cars ran LOW 15's NA, why would people waste their money buying turbo kits to put them in the mid 14's? If simple bolt ons could do that much, we would all be int the 14's.........NOT JUST YOU!!!

S2000 can hit 13.6.
srt4 can get 13.7.
civic dx can get 16.0.
and v6 accord can get 14.3.
his car in stock form runs probably 16.0 with a great driver. (it'd be slightly slower than the ex best time of 15.8)
lets say he's lost 300 pounds with reduction, using DR's, intake, exhaust, suspension upgrades (yes they help with launch), pulley, removed power steering, and runs smaller tires on the front with DR's than stock.
there's no reason he can't be into that low 15 range with all of that. granted he's far from stock, but it's plausible. he also did post time slips. what's interesting is the time slips had a date of like july of 2000. we called Bs however that drag strip apparently never has the right date. so i called the place and asked what the date was displaying on the time slips for the day he ran, and it matched.

Try kutsujuracing.com , Forgedmotorsports.com or SMPconcepts.com for further verification.
All these local clubs have members that have witnessed my times. My screen name is redline04 on all those sites as well. I am sorry at this point I don't own a video cam, but I really need to get one because I plan on pushing this car into the 12's eventually.
You never said where you live? If you live near by I am willing to set up a track date to turn you and all the other haters into to believers when I get back. Eventhough everyone knows the truth already, but I understand some people just need to see things first hand before they're convinced.

^^^ you've already convinced us enough. with timeslips, a plausible scenario for what your car can run, and the handful of witnesses that said they saw you run, that's enough. what else do we need? birth certificate and social security card? geez. dont sweat it.

Yeah suspension helps but the S-techs barely did crap. They may have helped a little. I just cant wait to get the Omni's so I can dial them in and hopefully reduce my 60fts a bit more. Maybe good for another .1-.2
I ran the stock 14's with the dr's, but Kosei k1 are in my future plans. 14's weigh only 9lbs, around 6 less than stock. Good for maybe another .05-.15?
http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheel...1_ts_ci3_l.jpg
Might even get a Set of MT slicks. Gonna need those to get into the 12's eventually. There is so much room for improvement. Oh yeah I especially when my leaky header is blowing hot air right into my shitty V2 that's already sucking in warm air. Every little bit helps.
If I saw someone run a 16.0 stock I would
. They would be one bad ****. I know I'm not the greatest driver especially when I first got the car so it may be possible. Unlike some people I have an open mind. AKA Mr. 60ft. Not to be confused with Civic_Redline

I'm just so pissed cause I'm over here away from everything that I love and I miss racing almost more than my wife. Everyone back home is running their best due to the cold weather and I just wish I was there to push this car where I belive it should be and silence the haters with some Video. Instead all I can do is just sit behind this computer and argue with ignorant people who attack me for the next 85 Days. Sorry
Sorry to BTuner for HiJacking your thread as well.

The dates are the slip were off but if you read around post#42 you'll see I have several witnesses and also verification of the dates being printed wrong.
I would have ran high 14's if I had some more practice and with cooler weather. But I only had one shot with my new mods before I left the country.

I wish there were people in here that actually have raced a d17a1.
Oh yea what further makes me suspicious is your post on "super sleeper switch" you made, you went into great details about how you wanna HIDE YOUR BOTTLE!!!!

I dont know looks like you know a little somethin about nitrous to me to go into that much detail.
Do you remember me saying something about sneaky pete??

the only thing I know about N20 is from my research over the past couple months, since I have nothing better to do in my spare time besides go to the gym. Sorry for trying to carefully plan and research before I jump right into something. I'd rather stay NA, but as of this moment there is no backing for the D17. If I was running nitrous I would be in the 13's.
The sleeper switch was an idea that popped into my head. I am an electrician in the AF and the other day I was replacing some relays and it gave me an idea. I saw that post and drew up a quick wiring diagram to see what anyone thought. I don't even know if it will work because I have never taken the dash apart, nor due I know how the heater switch is actually wired in. Sorry for not wanting to draw attention from the law and I figured it would be easy to hit after I shift into second and unique.
I came across the NX maximizer in the new Modified magazine. They had a few articles about nitrous and race gas in there so I purchased it to hopefully gain some more insight on my future endevors. If and when I do spray I will be running no less than 100octane.
You still haven't answered my question. Where are you located? I am more than willing to arrange something when I get back within a reasonable distance. Or you can just wait till I get some video. What happened to your first engine anyway? I see you swapped according to your profile. Guess you should have stuck with the A1 then maybe it wouldn't take a 50 shot for you to run the same times as me
. Just imagine if I had a new clutch and lightened flywheel like you
, gotta be good for a couple tenths.

I should have just chopped the top off when I posted them and avoided all this contraversy, but that would be devious and I have nothing to hide.
