cool guy in an e30 M3
This past summer I was cruising around on this 4 lane causeway (2 per direction) and I rolled up to a graphite-colored M3 with 17" BBS's, a 6-pt rollcage and old-school widebody flares. We both simultaneously downshifted, starting the race apparently in unison. I was entirely expecting to get shredded. I mean... this car looks like a repainted DTM car from the 80's.
Surprisingly we were dead even. Not a single inch of difference except when one of us shifted (his gears were slightly shorter). We pull up to a light afterward.
Me: That is one sweet M3, man.
Guy: Thanks. Your Civic is one of the few around here thats nice.
Me: You know my car? I've never seen you before.
Guy: I've seen it around. I don't usually drive this car. It's my race car.
(I notice an SCCA sticker)
Me: Well, she looks like she can handle... besides anybody driving around in an oldschool Bimmer gets props.
Guy: Haha! Yea I hate it when people look and say "eww its so old!" Well, lights gonna change - you have a good night.
There are good people in this world. Apparently even in S. Jersey.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, there are some cool people around me too. Occasionally a Ferrari or Cadi, anything upscale cars, have some nice drivers who compliment my civic. The crappier cars like srt4s and sti's are as*holes. every last one of them.

The M30 is stright up ganster. Stock wide body, two door inline engine. It was trully a trend setter. I have always had my eye out for one but there selling for 9k+ and that plus a new 6 cyl M3 engine is past my budget.
