90% i rule, 10% i suck
Last week, I ran into 2 of my friends who both have GS-Rs. The one has I/H/E/VAFC and no cat, the other one has a cat and no VAFC. I line up next to the first one (with all the stuff). I am tired and almost completely asleep and just finished a 12 hour shift at work. He shouts "We are rolling in 2nd, go on the third beep."
Now... that is possibly the most obvious instructions I've ever heard. No... my dumb *** launches out of the light, then proceeds to miss second gear. So not only did I try a cheap shot (and our little cute D17 would have still lost) but I missed a gear, ENSURING a complete and embarrassing loss. It hurt badly.
On the kills list, I can add a celica GT-S. I don't know much about Celicas, so pardon my ignorance. I swear this car was an automatic. It had to be. The kid had a system, that much I could tell because A) I heard it and B) his rear was sagging. He had 18" chrome wheels. Basically, he ripped past me a few times and slowed down, to try and egg me on. One time he went to accelerate again, I blipped 2nd and back into third and smoke him so bad I had to turn around to see his car. Something is wrong with this picture... GT-S' have 180hp and redline at like 7800 or something.... how could I slaughter him so bad?

The gt-s must have been an auto. I believe even an auto gt can hang with if not beat an auto gt-s. But hey a kill is a kill and usually a guy that tries to get someone else to race needs to be beat.

not sure about the auto gt-s if you were in ur 7thgen civic. the auto gt can take an ex civic auto from a dig. im gonna guess he badged his **** as gts or he had folks in the car or some ****. but a good driver in a civic stick can take an auto gt-s.. its possible

keep in mind an AUTO GTS is about a low/mid 16 second car.

WOW
I knew those cars were slow (auto not manual), but DAMN... Mid 16's?? I know they only have about 130 tq, but they should do better than mid 16's...
Celica GT-S gets all its power when in lift...due to the 4 speed on the auto, it doesn't stay in lift as much as a 5 speed, and while a manual can drop into lift again when changing gears, or fall just out ofit, autos drop waaaaay out of lift when the tranny shifts....the 4 speed kills the car, terrible decision by Toyota.
