Lets say i keep my car at about 195 hp. 190 tq, to the wheels, will i be able to take it?

you'll whoop that *** w/ those hp #'s and even a marginal ability to drive. he'll come back with a hope in 3rd gear, but IS's sadly aren't all that fast in stock form. even in manual.

http://www.dynoperformance.com/searc...ils.php?ID=504 this dyno doesn't even give the IS 160rwhp. i've seen most 160-170ish. rear wheel drive is better, sure, but it has more drivetrain loss than front wheel.
and the car has a curb weight of 3255lbs. thats 400-600lbs more. it runs mid 15's in the quarter mile. and i hinted above, there are a lot of these out there in automatic. that are stock. so pulling up on a random IS300, odds are it will not be a big problem for a turboed civic.

i had my *** handed to me from a stop and a 50mph roll. my friend traded his wrx in for a is300. both cars were stock automatics plus i had my spare, subs, etc... but even if i didnt i'd still would of lost.
i took an IS300 (the old automatic one) from a launch and left him with his nose about 2 feet off my rear bumper, stock 5 speed LX except for kumho 712 which shouldnt count for too much. on the highway was a different story lol.
since ur automatic, just get a good brake launch and pray that his car is heavy lol. should be close unless he launches better than u.

WEl,, yur talking a turbo civic versus a stock is300, i would hope it should beat it, but turbo vs turbo the civic would get its *** handed to it, so a turboed civic can barely pick off a stock is300, whooptie doo.....try rollin with a turbo is300 man, until then stfu...
I ran my friend in his auto IS with rear section HKS exhaust and intake, ( i know your reffering to a stock one) i was in my moms 04 sebring vert (GTC) w/ a 2.7L V6. pretty quick high 16's stock. ANd i pulled on him pretty good, so even a modded auto IS300 isn't that quick if i took him in the vert. YOu should have it no problem

you are the only one talking turbo v. turbo. i know what turboed is300's do, thats nothing new. and i never disagreed. please crawl back under your bridge. AKA Mr. 60ft. Not to be confused with Civic_Redline

there's a guy here than ran 14.2 in his 5spd IS300 with I/E and Tein SS. He had stock wheels and tires and was cutting 1.9-2.0 60ft. Not your average driver. I think he was power shifting too. Most run low to mid 15's with average driver. So you should have no problem.

there is no logic behind this argument as you simply "run what you brung" so to speak. if he walks a stock is300 like a dog with his turbo civic, oh well. nobody cares about a turbo is300.
