Why can't anyone make an honest post on this forum without someone being an ***? We all drive the same cars. We know they are slow compared to most other cars. Just because someone tries to get the best times with the car they have there is no need to flame them. I still say 16.9 is a good time for what he's got.

18.3 is the best i could crank outta my beast. oh and even tho a auto ex is slow at the strip, its an experience ill never forget and its a blast. so id recomend taking ur car out 2 the strip cause hey who cares if its slow......it will look better than most of the rides there, that is unless theres another 7th gen present

time btw ... when you edited your post about the sig ... that other member's 16.9 isn't stock. he had a catback, no cat and suspension. stock is when there are NO mods whatsoever ... including suspension and lowering tire pressure .... because low tire pressure isn't stock.

^doubt it. thats why i thought it was pretty impressive for a stock 7thgen.
i think its possible with using the better motor oil, fluids, tire pressure, and doing it in the right climate. even gutting it would help a lot. it will still be stock because its not modded at all. your just giving it better maintiance and taking few pieces out

with that said, I agree 12's are fast and even much faster for a van. However, a 16.924 is not fast and by all means is not impressive, in my opinion. Dropping a flat 18 second car to a mid 15 second car is impressive, but still not something to be proud of.
Let's be frank now. In a hypothetical situation, a GSR with i/h/e pulls up next to you at a stop light. Chances are that whether you run a mid 15 or a flat 18 against him, he's not going to care what you have done and he will have beaten you anyway. In either case, a high 16 second car is not something to be proud of and may only conceive positive attention from owners of similar cars with similar modifications.
Please do post here where I have contradicted myself 10x. However, do not mistake a contradiction with an amendment with cause. Do you like the term "dumbass"? because I would like you to think up another derogatory term because it is becoming quite the redundant. Also, please refer to the "Respect" thread posted by S2000man before replying. And before you retaliate, note that you, in fact, were the one who began our (yours and mine) arguments with rash expletives, not myself.
