You would win even if you missed a gear with no NOS why do you have a jdm motor? why would you even bother?
where did you get the titanium valve springs ? ... and what is the use of bothering putting them in in a nearly stock motor?

on your mod list! JDM d17a2
cold air(ebay)
mugen header/ collector pipe
Greddy Cat Back
Hmmm, that's all im seeing for as POWER engine mods, even thou he's auto, he'll probably pull, they put about 140-145hp to the wheels and more trq, thats for sure.

those cars only get 140 to the crank so figure 120 to the wheels at best due to the fact that it is an auto. A auto also weighs in at 2700lbs and change. I would say that would make it close to even with a auto civic and this guy has a stick. Also if he can't get it done with that he has NOS
i saw a race between a 7thgen auto and a 03 or 04 cav that was a 4 door auto and bottom line cav, it was a rental car, and the 7thgen had intake, header, exhaust, pulley...and the 7thgen took a jump at the start and the cav reeled him in and was about to pull but the civic stopped as soon as the cav got to his door. So be careful against some of them cavs i guess.

Your mods at first seem cool, but after another look I realized most of those are like nothing. I'm guess they everything gave you 10-15whp tuned over stock. So that won't help much. If the other car is the supercharged version, you'll lose.

and you dont put springs/valves in for spraying.
and not to sound like an ***, but from the knowledge you've demonstrated, or lack there-of i should say, i doubt you have half the mods you even listed. USDM DX harness on a jdm civic engine? sure. when kangaroos take over canada.

Exactly, that will be the day when Mugen starts making parts for the d17, However i REALLY doubt it!
I don't think theres anyone who would go to the trouble of importing a D17 from -Japan- to the US. The shipping on the engine alone would be far more than it was even worth. And if they did, I really doubt they'd junk it instead of trying to hawk it off on Ebay. If the guy at the junkyard told you it was a JDM motor, go there and ask for your money back.

ok really not that hard of and engine harness swap. you have to change over a few plugs here and there and run 3 new wires into the plug that plugs into the ecu. the vtec silinoid, oil pressure, and somw ither one i can't think of right now. the main diffrence is that the jdm harness is backwards due to the location of the steering colum and computer in the japanese cars. check it out www.alljajaneseengines.com. thats where i got it from. im not sure what the engine goes for now. we've droped a few jdm engines in cars my neighbor has a 95 dx with a modifids dx harness for a JDM D16Z engine, and we modifies the harness of a non-vtec ls integra to put in a jdm 18c head. and we are currently wiring up a JDM H22 with a modified F22 harness, with is the same just no vtec controls for the plug. you guys my ask where put d-series engines back in the cars? because they are cheap and reliable and can do stuff to them cheap to make them a little faster, there not race cars we don't want the to be so why put $6000 into a swap that will gain me a whole second if that over an engine that i bought and modded that cost all together maybe $1700, from a car that i bought as a daily driver. if i want a fast car i'll stick to the F-bodies that we have been building for years. i just don't feel like spending the gas and maintnence prices on the V8's. and i like my yes JDM powered civic with a DX harness. if you want proff of the whole harness wiring mods email and i'll show you the pics of what you have to do i was going to put attachments on this but the pics are to big.

again, first you post about NAWS raising your compression, but then post this other crap about your engine swap.
so im still inclined to think you're full of it. so please explain where you got a jdm d17 and why someone would bother importing one into the US in the first place, considering there is no power difference between USDM and JDM d17.

i guess i still dont understand how at any point, you can get a jdm d17 cheaper than a usdm d17. they're the same damn thing, with the exception that you have to ship the jdm over from japan at some point.
what im saying is i simply dont understand why a company would do that, to sell a jdm d17 here when anyone can get them usdm d17's cheaper.....
by the way, you keep throwing that website around, and it's not helping your cause.... www.alljajaneseengines.com which is what you posted, does not exist. thinking you spelled japanese wrong, i tried www.alljapaneseengines.com
nope.... owned there too.
so so far you've claimed you have a jdm d17 in your car from a business that doesn't seem to exist....
