Civic vs Focus Zx3
Who would win both being manual the civic not being v tec just the lx both 2001? Has any one raced a Focus Zx3 Hatchback? are they fast at all?

Rep Power: 294 well actually i got a lot of **** and he has exhaust i have the Aem pulleys the Aem v2 intake, custom exhaust with dual outlets obx headers Venom control module 400 and wanna get the cam gear but my car is crashed gonna take 2 months to fix and i think he has Hks exhaust cat back

Either way, I'd say he has the advantage stock. Even with the mods, if it's the PZEV, I'd say you're in trouble assuming equal driver's, but I think you'd have a decent chance if it's the Zetec.

Rep Power: 0 He has the 2.0L w/ 130hp, because I know someone who has one and he has an 02'. You'll probably win if you drive decent. I lost to him by a hair when I was bone stock. He had cold air intake and custom exhaust at the time.

I raced by brother's 02 ZX3 5 speed and with my V2 intake he still beat me. We lined up 3 times and every time he'd always get me off the line (I suppose it's the torque advantage). Anyways, he'd get about 1 car length ahead, and then I'd stay right with him. On the highway though, at about 90+ I consistently pull on him, and once I hit 110 its all over.

Rep Power: 285 Stock vs. Stock, the ZX3 is faster, especially if it has the 2.3L Duratec with ~150hp. However, it's still a driver's race and anyone could win. Oh, and the engine is the 2.0 Zetec Engine, not a 2.0 engine W/ Zetec. It doesn't HAVE Zetec, it IS Zetec.

I used to drive an 01 focus zx3 all motor zetec 2.0L engine. I dismantled civics. ate them up like pancakes. the 01-05 civics had nothing on my lil focus hatch. I even took si's. the coupes and the new hatch's. The focus hatch would murder a civic any day.
