my first quart mile drag

my first time doing a quarter mile(at famosa, bakersfield)

got like 7 free runs in, paid by sport compact car magazine

e.t was 16.233 seconds

r/t was 0.011 second( i came in 2nd for R/T, 1st place was 0.003)


the only engine mod was custom made intake, custom test pipe, no muffler(for fun)

kumho MX tires
kosei 205/50/15 wheels
JIC(road race tire pressure and alignment)


not bad for a road racer/autoXer?

there are two kind of trees

one that starts from 0.000 and one that starts from 0.500

so, 0.011 or 0.511 seconds

I think I have a slip with a .007 reaction time.
I don't know what kind of tree it was.

That's a nice time for first run dragging it, IMO. This is from the first time I was out there (the timeslip) so yeah, horrible times, lol.

Don’t worry about reaction times unless you are in a head to head competition. RT has no affect on your overal ET or trap speed what so ever. If it’s your first (or 2nd or 3rd...) trip to the track, making sure you stage, launch, and shift properly is more important then getting on it as soon as the tree lights green.

There's 0.5 seconds from the last amber to the green, so his 0.011 is a 0.511. Some tracks subtract out the 0.5. They started doing that because some of the fans are too stupid to figure it out for themselves.
