well runnin along i-35 going back home. this 6thgen coupe i guess was racing some old car. anyways i see them both zoom past me, i really didnt care, but the 6g vic slows down and starts to pace me and floors it... im like ok, whatever. then he comes back and im like ok its on. i could tell it was an auto, with maybe a intake and a muffler. well i decide to go ahead and run him for fun. im doing bout 65, and he punches it again, i downshift to 4th and walk all over him like tis nothing... it was sad. I feel stupid for wasting gas on him. I should have just resisted. anyways all i have is i/e and vafcii on stock settings still.

7th gens own ALL 6thgens with minor mods. Mind you I mean STOCK 7thgens too. I raced a buddy of mine a while back when I first got my 04 EX. He had new spark plugs, intake, headers, and exhaust. He got me off the line just cause I didn't know how to launch. Damn, by the end of 2nd gear I had him by half car, and 3rd gear wasted him. 7thgen OWNS all.

dunno why, i understand your statement, but most of the stock si's in my town are running no better than 15.6-.8, and im running 16 flat.. i know when you hook the si up they have more potential, but its nothing to scared of, maybe impressed but thats about it.

respect, so I made a better choice in buying a new ex coupe choice of color instead an old si(which ends up costing slighly more) with high mileage.

How much do the New Si pull on us? If we were to shift similarly and both drivers being equal?

ya 6thgens are slower than our cars and thier autos are even worse because they have even less torque than us.
7thgen auto and stick from a roll are about the same if the auto driver downshifts to 3rd gear.
I dont understand why people race civics though well I suppose its better than idiots racing in fast cars and killing someone

I have a 2003 ex auto and i raced my friend in a 99 ex auto at the local drag strip. I finished .45 seconds ahead of him in the 1/4 mile, if that helps.
