Just curious, how often a night do you have to switch spots caus of the spot getting poped off? Include some info on where your from and whatnot, I'm just curious.
Don't drink and post, you will end up hilarious.

when i raced
never
If its actually a GOOD spot then most cops will leave you alone until they have to step in (violence, destroying property, etc). Because they know when they break it up then most people (usually the teenagers) will simply go race on the streets.

I'll flip out and kill people.

theres a big namebrand computer corporation (cough) that i live near that has HUGE parking lots that are great for short runs, and its safe for everyone as long as no one does anything stupid... but thats the problem with street racing in the first place. but cops never show up there and when they do its just to make everyone scatter. i dont race on the street tho because a.) my civic is slow b.) other people being stupid is the root of 99% of problems on the road for me

i used to street race all the time. now im taking it to the track! cause i think its more fun there. i mean yeah sure a race here or there on the streets occasinally can be fun. but it depends on the conditions.
1. the roads have to be damn near dead before ill even think about
2.dry roads
3. if i even have a chance
4. if im alone or not in the car
5. if i know the road or not
6. how bad the cops are in that area
but in reality street racing is bad b/c its mostly the young kids who just got their license that are doing new driver= fatal mistakes
i was young before and stupid. but i suppose college has made me a bit wiser. to reiterate, if your gonna race just take it to the track!

we have cops that sit and watch out for people here and warn them. lol.. i don't race there, but it's pretty funny to drive by and see a state trooper parked there watching out for them.
I think these stupid race spots are rediculous. There's actually certain places where I live that I CAN'T take my car to cause all you little FnF wannabe's try to play speed racer so the cops target any import in the area.
Grow up and keep it at the tracks. a random light light is different so don't try to say I'm a hypocrite or anything. I DO NOT tollerate the little morons that attend those races. it makes the rest of us look bad.
If you hit the illegals you ARE a ricer plain and simple.

Obviously street racing has been around since the early hot rods. It's been the place for kids to hangout etc. Those kids for the most part were on back roads or unused roads, out of the way, etc. Now it's main roads with traffic and families going about their business.
A few weeks ago some kids blew past me on Memorial around 81st or so and I counted 5 lane changes each to get around other cars. that was in front of me that I could see. no telling how many total they did.
And of course I saw no cops and noone stopped for it.
Me, I only do my racing at the track, period. Be it road course etc.

Every time darwin does his job the cops crack down harder. The problem is sometimes their stupidity is affecting innocent people whos only mistake was being in the same area as some moron ricer.
I really could care less. If they wanna race and die trying thats their problem. the way I see it is 1 less moron on the roads.

I usually go to watch, but since the crack down in NY and all the cars being taken away (from the video I saw), as I said, I was just wondering. No need to debat weather it's ok or not. That's everyones opinions. Personally, I can care less who does, and who does not.
Keep it on topic please.

out in northridge, ca we used to race on plummer and corbin.. huge parking lot where people could meet and set up races. Couple of Idiot 16 year olds and abunch of accidents later .. place was shut down... then we moved to Devonshire and Reseda.. but for meet purposes.. ppl head out to sylmar to handle the runs. Korean market opened up so theres traffic now until 10pm.. so no more meets.. sometimes ppl go to a In and out and get a bite to eat on thursday nites.. just luck you see a bunch of imports and domestics chiilin..
here in monroe, everyone thinks they're fuking f2f (and pathetically, they have plenty of money to drop into visual mods on their automatic audi a4's and bmw's...)
what they don't realize is that although monroe has many, many back roads, people use them...whenever I go out in my srt-4 I always drive at least 2-3 UNDER the limit, because cops hide EVERYWHERE and ticket anyone young with a modified-looking car.
I remember the stories my dad told me of street racing when he was a kid...I wouldn't call it street racing, I would call it "we just cut a quarter-mile dirt path that's not actually a real road and it's on private property" racing...things have certainly changed

here in north california.. ill say within 45min on a bad day and on a good day, not at all (like 4th of july, police were mainly out for drunk driving, etc). when the spot gets busted, theirs another spot moved on to.
FnF/2f2f really did ruin the street races. everyone agrees, even those professional drifters that were on that one technology tv channel agree.
also, going to the track is much safer and all but the closest track near me is like 45min-1 hour, which was pretty far. so back then, i went to the runs to check out the rides, not really particpate.
