thats not a fair comparison in my mind. If one gets internals the other should do. Besides that neon that dyno'd 550whp was on stock internals for awhile. He believes it blew because one of the cheap autolite sparkplugs broke. He was going to do a high 10 that pass it broke too. In my mind thats far more impressive then a fully built RSX-S.

A spec V can probably do the same thing once we can get the ECU tuned. Dion's spec v made 391.9whp at 17lbs of boost its built to take 25lbs. thats gotta be pretty close to 500whp. Any car can be built to run 10's with enough money thats not what impresses me.

yeah, so aside from FI, i also love the rsx engine because i can regularly get around 28mpg mixed driving. when i took it on the road for awhile, i got btwn 34 and 35mpg highway. somebody show me another company that makes an engine with 200 crank hp that can claim this.

srt-4 is pure crap. Plain and simple i dont intend to argue my point just stating my opinion, its crap. American garbage trying to compete on the sport compact level. i dont care if its 0-60 in 5.9 or if its 19K. Its still a neon, the suspension is garbage, the gearbox is garbage, clutch takes forever to grab, turbo is junk, engine sounds like a fart can. Ugh, please k20a swap anyday over a srt-4....im not huge jdm freak but atleast you know ur not buying junk. The recalls are thru the roof on that car, ive driven it plenty of times and i can see why....::sigh:: id rather take the vic over it....btw rsx-s is decent, anything is fast compared to our d17's....i drove a boxster S and it felt like i was flying ....i need a sub 15 sec 1/4 mile car....if only k20a engine swaps costs 1K we would all be in heaven.

^BLAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! R U SERIOUS!! my friend has a SRT4 and he has roughly $1300 in mods in his car and his best at the track is 13.04@107mph (on DR's) so u're gonna tell me if you put $1300 in a RSX-S (WHICH I LOVE) is better...YEAH RIGHT KIDDO...dude in my club has I/H/E (AEM CAI: over $200, Comptech header: $1300 and Catback Exhust: Apexi N1) and Hondata Reflash ($600) on his Type S and the best he's managed is 14.3 with 2.3 60' but on 18 inch volks...I'm sure he'll break 13's on DR's but still compare the money thrown in the Type S and the $$ thrown into the SRT4 THEN the SRT4 is CHEAPER but dont get me wrong I would take the RSX over the SRT4 b/c of looks along b/c I'm not fan of the physically aspects of the Neons...so it may be a Neon but underneath its a SRT4 and it will WAX a RSX's A$$ STOCK VS. STOCK....put equal amount of $$ of mods into both, the SRT4 will STILL wax the RSX BUT the RSX does look better

but my friend with the RSX did beat a SRT4 with BOV and intake

so give or take I guess or maybe that dude with the SRT4 THAT LOST TO THE TYPE S COULDNT DRIVE

Lol, your RSX friend needs to learn how to drive, there are people with less mods running faster than him. But the point still is that the SRT-4 can NEVAR LOSE!!11!!! Btw, did he get the comptech headr before Dc brought out their race header because DC is hundreds less and performs the same.

EDIT: I'm a f@cking moron, I didn't see the part where you said he had 18s, lol. If I knew I was going to race my car as much as I do now, I would of gotten an SRT-4 or WRX, but I still love my car.

WTF? Do you people not understand? Is the SRT-4 going to perform better with less money into it than the RSX Type S? Hell yeah it is. Its boosted. Take the turbo off the SRT-4 and its just a R/T. Than it has nothing on the Type S.

And the guy with I/H/E and Hondata hitting 14.3 can not drive. Even with his 18s he should be doing better. I've seen guys with a CAI and Hondata hit 14 flat.

listen to me carefully...i did not say anything about putting money in the car....i said the car is crap....i dont care if i put $5 in it and it becomes a top fuel dragster, FOR ME and maybe me alone its a hunk of crap....honest to God its exaclly as someone said a r/t boosted....give me a break....i didnt say 1300 in a rsx-s would make it faster.....i said the rsx is made better and suspension is better...jus all around faster.....i dunt care about how freakin fast u can drive in a straight line.....anyways if you wanna talk bbang for the buck....my friend has a 1988 5.0 HP stang that runs easy 10's and it only cost him about 4-5 worth of work....try doin that on any front wheel drive car with 4-5g's...including this retarted srt-4..HAH whatever i dunt care srt-4's are junk...rsx-s are better even though they are slower and the dollar doesnt do as much, bang for the buck wise...besides i wouldnt get caught drving a neon even if it ran 10's....id rather drive my civic...sure i love speed im addicted to it, actually with this retarted civic i thirst for it everyday....but owning my civic made me get off the entire speed pedestal and realize the importance of a good suspension and it honestly made me a better driver because now in a race i concentrate on technique not when my bananna yellow neon's dinky turbo will spool....::sigh::

lol guess he cant...we even had a guy drive the RSX at the track for him and the best he cut was 2.3 60' on those 18's...also man u gotta consider the weather conditions and elevations and weight reduction...hell alot of stuff...the guy that also cut a 2.3 60' in the RSX cuts 1.9's and 1.8's in his RX7 on STREET TIRES so r u gonna tell me he CANT drive either ...but like I said...there's alot of things u have to factor in...I would like to see this guy that ran 14 flat with Intake and Hondata...what are his other mods...tires...weight reduction...give me more info and if it adds up to my boy's with the RSX...I'll let him no u said he cant drive and I'll agree with u ...btw, he ran that 14.3 on 18 inch Volks, full interior, full street trim...give me more info man...flame if u want but I think I got enough peeps with water to cool u off (<--- what that means...I DONT KNOW BUT I LIKE IT )

no no i dont hate domestics i hate companies that build terribly engineered cars for the sole purpose of competing in the sport compact market....like i said my friends 5.0 is a sick car and everytime i take a ride in it i love it , but thats PURE AMERICAN MUSCLE not some poorly crafted boosted inline 4 which attempts to compete in an almost all japanese market....

go over to www.corvetteforum.com they talk about the mileage all the time, and for the price, you said "show me a company that can do it"

I understand that track conditions and temps and stuff that that are a factor. I'm just saying that he can do better. Look around Clubrsx.com Lots of guys with the same mods as him are hitting 14.1 and even 13.9 The guy that hit 14.0 with CAI and Hondata had some better street tires. Thats it. But i'm not trying to flame you in anyway just saying that he can do better. Practice=perfect.

^ thats his BEST run....he's like **** it and now he's buying some DR's...he said he's tried everything and we've had other guys to drive it they haven't done any better...sure the car has plently more potential...his top end is CRAZY ...on guy in our club runs a 13.9 and him and the RSX lined up at the track...well of course the guy that runs the 13.9 gets him out the hole (DR's) but towards the end, u can see that RSX pulling on his ***....MAN K20 SWAP IS NEXT FOR ME

When I'm in 5 gear at 7,000 rpms I'm doing 133mph. so at 8K would be more like 140 and why the hell would you down shift anyways? Oh and it would be more like 20,000 rpms if you put it in 2nd.

But if you honestly did do this, than you are a retard.
