Hello,
I just joined this forum because I had a question. My friend drives an '04 Civic, LX, I think it is manual. He is always talking about how fast his car is, and I was wondering what the average 1/8 and 1/4 mile times are for that car?
I drive a '98 ZX2, and I haven't done too much racing, so I don't know how fast I am compared to most..
My quarter mile is 15.8, and my 1/8 is 10.2, I kinda suck at launching...
Anyway, thanks for the help!

is the civic stock cause if so most people drivin civic ex's hit around high to mid 16's some low. I heard that someone broke into 15's stock but i think that was a rumor anyways if he has mods or weight off could be close race if not u should win
Ya, my car is pretty much stock, I have a chopped air intake, and POTs.....but I am riding on 17" tires...
His car is completly stock..
What kind of time does a LX get on the quarter?

but between you two . you will beat him most likely. most lx's pull mid 16's stock.. very best drivers might pull a 15.9 out there butt but unlikely..

hah. s2k vs 350z...350z would rape the crap out of the s2k in launch (it has that much more torque). but then in the top end, you might see the s2k creep up...but thats about it.

YES VTEC IS THE ADVANTAGE. If you are not going to argue that 12 hp makes a difference, that is about as much difference as a gsr spec b18c and a b18c5. SAME THING as saying my 8.5 psi turbo ex is a driver's race vs. another's 7 psi turbo ex

s2k has a better torque curve than 350z... or is it the other way around.. i dont want to think right now... too tired from work.. but s2k vs 350z is a good race... and depending on how long the race is to determine who'll win.

you must be stupid just cause it is an lx doesn't meen crap. I have an LX and have beaten plenty of EX's. I would say the civic would win. Those ZX2s feel like they are about to fall apart if you take them over 20 mph.

Not to mention the more rotational mass the EX Alloys present as well.
Once again.. LX vs EX is a drivers race.
For every 100lbs of weight reduction its the equivalent of adding 10hp. So you now have a 2-3hp advantage.... So how is that not a drivers race... the mighty vtec doesnt mean ****.
Ok, you're correct in a sense that it is a driver's race, but are incorrect in stating that the ex does not have an advantage. using to your logic, the ex would have a 4 hp advantage over the lx, which still makes one of my statements true.
