Question 6900RPM fuel cut???

Hey I read on a thread by opto isolator that our fuel systems begin to cut the fuel at about 6900 rpm. so running the gear till 7200 would be a waist of time right? does anyone know if this is true? what would be the sweet spot shift point for our vics? EX that is??

the rev limiter kicks in at 7000, so I doubt the fuel cuts off before then. I don't know. If you really want to run up to 7200, I'm sure there's a way to disable whatever Honda cutoffs there are. Be sure you upgrade your valvetrain so you can handle the extra RPM's though.

Fuel cut off is 7200, you can rev to that without any modifications.

HP peak is at 6300. I shift as close to 7k as I can get without hitting the rev limiter.

sorry but our fuel cut is at 7000 for an EX. You may see 7200 though because your stock tach is off.

try having an engine in that has 7900rpm fuel cut off... i've gone up to what it says is about 8200rpms on my k20a2 without getting to fuel cutoff.

and the purpose of going beyond where you make more power is that when you shift, you are in the better part of the power band. best point is as high as you can w/out getting to cutoff
