Tonight's Encounter: Neon and Accord Coupe
So me and a girl watched Terminal at the Village Square theatre on Sahara and Fort Apache. I'm driving south on Fort apache after the movie in front of Angel Park golf course. I see this white Neon with a huge black aluminum wing, altezzas, and exhaust. So I pull up right next to him to see what he does. Of course he stomps on it, and I just pace him. At this point it was apparent he had nothing, and so I just walked him, but as I do it, a silver Accord coupe flies past us. I'm like okay this guy wants to play around too...
I'm not big on street racing, but damn we were flying. I followed him as he made a right on lake mead, and stayed right behind him until we finally get to a red light. I walk his *** and get in front of him, and he gets right up behind me. I slow down as he's tail gating me, throw it into third and walk his *** again. Make my way toward the 95 entrance, and as some of you ITR or MSP guys know, those curves on the entrance ramps are where these cars shine. I flew through the corner so fast I couldn't even see him in my rear view anymore. I'm doing a good 80, and have already merged with traffic when I see the guy weaving in and out of traffic, and he flies past me. At this point I figure I've handed him his *** enough times that I don't need to prove myself anymore.
I know it was stupid, but hey, sometimes I can't resist a challenge. But when I got home and parked my baby in the garage next to the other toys, I realized that I love my car even more now
