after having my turbo on for 3 weeks and getting my SAFCII tuned correctly yesterday i decided to have some fun on the way home from the shop in durham. I was still running 6.5psi which i had been running during the dyno...The first car i see is a 96 prelude i guess, black, lowered, ugly euros, fart can, bodykit. I think thats it, he comes flying up to me then hits the brakes when he gets beside me..im cruising in 4th at about 3,000rpm so i see him downshift to 3rd and hit it, i dont think he was beside me for a second....when i quit at 90 i had a good 8 car lengths or more...all i know was his car was way back. Im not huge on street racing but it was fun and rush hour traffic was over. When im about 10 minutes from my house theres a kid from my school in a probe GT, he had just got it and was obsessed with it. "My GT runs low 15s, it can out handle RSX's, its fast, bla bla" he saw me and he knows that i put my turbo on but he wants to go, i didnt go full out because it was in town and cops are around so when i shifted into 2nd i hit it and go to 4th and quit at about 70...i had about 10 car lengths on him. None the less it was fun..but im saving it for next thurs. att the Benson 1/8 track. Its just cool to hear people talk about a "turbo civic" and how fast it is, hehe Oh yea, i dynoed at 162.3whp and 151lb ft torque at 6.5psi

Actually, there was this really beefed up Camaro next to me yesterday evening-- the idle was very muscular. Anyways, the retard revved at me, as if he didn't know it was a left turn .

At the straights, he kept revving at me, but I know my place . If I had a turbo, though...

Stay away from 8!!! without alcohol injection you're at risk for detonation. play it safe, stay below 7

sf has a fuel system that you need no matter what.

the alcohol is something extra you have to add if you want more than about 6.5psi... i've been having a few issues with mine, i think it's because i have colder plugs and with the added fuel i just can't burn it.

im trying methanol but it's highly corrosive so i'll be flushing my system after i race with it...

I think about 100. If you already have your kit shipped let me know, i need to find the jet, but i can get you the exact switch you need, made by Nos (holley)

yea the highest ive run is 6.5 at 93 octane everytime..when im just driving i usually run it at 4.5psi. Madwheel where do you get your alcohol from? My injection kit is on the way and i found a place that i can get a 5 gallon drum of methanol for $37, is that good? Also are you running straight methanol? What would be a good mixture to run with water?

Yeah that seems good. I haven't used methanol yet but my isopropyl/water mix barely runs so stay away from that. I also reccomend that no one leaves methanol in their plastic resevoir tanks, methanol is corrosive.

When I got my kit last year they told me isopropyl. My CEL comes on when I use it and the car wont run past 5500rpms... so f-that...

people on here have been having good results from methanol, i'll be trying it at the track soon
