question for the 1/4 mile peeps

Ive got an 02 ex 5spd and am thinking about running it at the strip. Just wondering how your clutches are holding up. I dont want to fry mine so I am a little curious as to how yours are holding out. the car is mostly stock with an intake. the clutch is fine now. any imput would be great. thanks

Just dont drop it at 6 grand Like i did But Ya my clutch is fine. Lauch at like 4000rmp area!

feel it out when you get to your nearest track. every track is different. Especially if it is a NHRA certifide track the the track will be a lot nicer than other. Your clutch should be fine but if your are going to dump it, dump it. As you may already know the track is a lot different then the street and the car will hook instead of spinning.

I've been beating the hell out of my clutch for 3 years now, and it's still holding well. It won't last long with a turbo, but for a stock motor you don't really need to concern yourself with it - its pretty tough. Besides, if you fry your clutch, that's just a good reason to get a new, better one.

Hint....When launching do not try spin tires, Less wheel spin better.
