I went down to my parents this weekend to use their shop to finish my stereo. My Dad is a full blown import hater. He ragged me the entire time I was there about my car and how dumb it looked and how slow and stupid civics are. I also put my new kumhos on and I wanted to make sure that my speedometer was right. So when I was on my way back up to St. Louis as I left I had him follow me in his 01 nissan frontier ext cab v6 truck. Once we were done checkin my speed he stopped in the middle of the road (back road with no traffic) i pulled up next to him and we talked a bit and then he started bashin my car and revin his truck up. i revved my a bit and he dumped his clutch and took off. So he was like 4 lengths a head and i took off and passed his *** by mid way through 2nd and i shut down at 100 in 3rd and he was way back there and his v6 was just screamin. lol when we stopped he blamed it on wheel spin lol. i then informed him that he was 4 lengths ahead of me when i took off. not a great kill but it sure shut him up about imports

Rep Power: 0 HA HA I'm gonna call BS. unless he was towing something. My dads 4cyl 01 frontier can beat a 7th gen. until he hits limiter at 100 mph.
so unless he toped out at a limiter theres no way you are gonna walk the v-6 frontier IMO especially not if he got a 4 car head start.
either way I'd have to see that on video before I'd beleive it

Rep Power: 0 i dont know i got a 5speed and i beat one of the supercharged frontiers they only put out like 210 it wasnt by much but i beat it so i dont know how a 4 cyl can beat a 7thgen maybe if its auto and stock

Rep Power: 0 ok you guys are right, i thought his trunk was a v6 but it is the 4 banger, so i am not as proud of my car , it is a 4cyl ext cab 4x4, and i did beat him and my wife was in there with me if you want her opinion cause she was pissed that we raced

Rep Power: 0 he hates the little import cars for speed. he is the old v8 american made type. he swears by em. says all imports can do is make noise. but you ask him about a nissan or toyota truck and he is all about them. kinda wierd about it all

Rep Power: 0 yeah i can relate to lex. my grandpa is this big muscle car collector and he also rags on imports. i tryed getting him to race me w/ his stroked v8 t-bird but he just backed down b/c he knows he cant handle a 7th gen vic. i'll up date cha if he ever decides to race me.

^in my auto civic I can easly bring over 100mph in 3rd.. weird isnt it? so no that isnt BS. Afterall we only got 4 speed trannys

Rep Power: 0 Nice lil kill. About the truck thing... My friend had a 2000 Toyota Tocaoma 6 banger with 190? HP. 5 speed, 4X4 TRD edition. I would woop his *** in my stock 2000 DX hatch. Call it BS.

I shift at a little past 90 into fourth with a M5 trans (M5 = Manual 5 speed).
But yea if he had anything else besides a auto I would have said the same...unless he was running higher than stock compresion....anyways.

Rep Power: 306 I raced an auto v6 frontier at the track last time around. i pulled a 16.8 and he pulled a 18.2 he also had some kinda fire extinguisher service sign on the side. maybe he was advertising? lol
