like i said i was intending to get my *** handed to me but i didn't.. im not makin the story up and he wanted to race me so as far as i kno he was in 4th and i downshifted into 4th we went till 5th and i was ahead and he quit..i wanted to talk to him but he didnt seem intrested. im not lieing i would of told u if i got owned but i didnt.. iv never been inside a mazdaspeed so i cant say how fast they are but a friend has one so i will see if his car is that much faster

I think he just didnt down shift. but regardless good kill anways.

Also I'd like to point out that it does take a certain amount of skill to run the 1/4 correctly

Man, took the words right out of my mouth on both points exept I was going to say anyone who thinks 1/4 drag race takes no skill is a moron. If it took no skill there would be no such thing as bracket racing because that is all skill, nothing to do with the car.. just consistency. Yes, road courses take skill, but pretending that 1/4 doesn't take skill is just as bad as the whole "power/weight is everything" thinking.

bracket racing is easy. just use an auto 7th gen and run amazingly accurate 19 second runs all day! all ya need is a good r/t lol ( don't be surprised to see results and or vids of me trying this. lol)
