Rep Power: 0 I got beat by a pontiac :(
finally met my match. lol
2002 grand prix GTP I/H/E and chipped he we were from a roll and he pulled a car length ahead until I hit lift and pulled 1/2 car length back. he stayed 1/2 a car up until 130 when we shut down. he followed me to the gas station I was headed to cause he was surprised I kept up. lol
he said he ran 13.8 at csw. I said I was at like 13.9 but I have interior now and my tool box in the car. lol he was shocked I only had intake. cool guy though

Rep Power: 0 well they dont make a good header yet. lol I paid for the header but it still doesnt exist. it should be out end of this month. at least thats what they said last night.
Unfortunately all my mods build on each other so with out 1 teres no point in the others.
I'm ordering the apexi power FC ( stand alone engine management), titanium valves, valve springs (should be able to rev to 9K and still have power)
I have baseline tuning maps for a celica with I/h/e already but they wont work if I dont have the header. lol
once I get everything in it's gonna get 2-3 hrs of dyno tuning done. I should be at or over 200 whp I'll know for sure when my teamate gets his tuned first week or 2 of march. (thats when he gets his power fc)
the problem is it is so expensive for stuff for our car. also takes forever to get sometimes cause alot of it is from japan. also celicas dont have a huge aftermarket cause they arent considered fast.

Rep Power: 0 kinda off topic but i see alot of old people here driving the GTS.
and they drive it all slow and careful. i hope that in the future when one of these older people decide to sell theres.
ill be able to pick one up used and fix it up. and it'll be in good condition cuz its never been driven hard. hmm...i guess there is a good part to living in the retiremant capital of the US.
nice car BTW im always impressed with your numbers

Rep Power: 314 please correct me if I'm wrong. is it true that if a car is not driven hard occasionally, they will lose the top end power over a long period of time?

I know its not recommended to baby the engine too much, and its good to let it rip once in a while. That's what the editors from SCC said.

Rep Power: 0 rear seats are out but the spare and stuff is all in. But since my wing weighs almost as much as the foam seat I'm basically stock weight right now. lol at the track I take out the passenger seat and spare and stuff, also my dr's have 9.5 lbs rims compared to the 24 lbs stock rims.
