So i was driving by and i saw the kid with the Silver 98 integra Ls with greddy exh, and AEM CAI, so i turned in there and i was like lets race so we turn onto the street and dead stop it hes like on 3 so we both go i launch and get monster wheel hop, and hes spinning all the way up first i shift into second still spinning then it grabs and were dead even then i hear his VTEC (but his car is an ls or gs and they dont have VTEC's and he doesnt have an engine swap so im like wtf but w/e) i bang 3rd put a nose on him and 4th i put a quarter of a car when we shut down at like 80-85 with me like 1/4 of a car-1/2 car ahead i finally beat him then we raced from a roll and he counted so he jumped a lil early and was a lil ahead and i spun bc i was in first at like 20 with rpm's at like 4k or so and i punched it spun hit second then i caught hit 3rd and he was like half a car then i started pulling pretty well and he shut down so i was like w/e

Coulda been a LS VTEC. A buddy of mine with an 02 WRX raced a 94 civic hatch with an LS VTEC in it. The hatch killed the WRX from a 40 MPH roll in third. Completely gutted, C/F hood, and a B18 with a VTEC head and controller on it. I got a video, i'll post it when i get a chance.

if u heard lift, he might have a ls/vtec either that or he was spraying......but if u walked him pretty good, then i doubt he was spraying.

Yea i need to learn the launch and i do need the mounts or inserts bad but o well.......

i talked to the kid i go to school with him he says he does not have anything besides AEM intake, and Greddy Cat-Back, but im POSITIVE i heard VTEC and i know he didnt do a motor or head swap on his car, maybe it had one when he bought it but he knows pretty much about cars and could probably tell if it did and if he knew hed tell me so i dont know whts going on and i know LS's dont come with VTEC's bc i pay a lot of attention to cars so im not an idiot but this just totally confused me out of my mind

After i get my AEM CAI, TWM ss Adapter, and GC Coilovers on by prob the end of this month (tax return) then ill take my moms Digi cam and use the video function and get my bro to film it for me......no excuse or anything but i had me and 2 other ppl in my car and he only had one i know if i woulda launched better i couldve taken him EASY but o well theres always next time

I'm not sure how you heard his vtec kick in with both you and him WOT? like already said learn to launch and control your shifts better and you'll walk him easy.

If you weren't mistaken and did hear vtec then theres no way he has an un touched ls motor. but eh, good kill anyways!

he said that the VTEC sound that we heard is just how his intake llike sucks hardcore at top rpms but i know how intake sounds and i dont think it was that and my car isnt very loud at WOT bc no i/e or anything but i dunno ill try to hook u guys up with a Vid within a couple weeks

maybe he bought the car used and it already had the ls vtec done to it? my nighbor bought a used 94 sedan and when he asked me to check it out for him hes got the ls swap in it. not bad for a $2000 car. lol I was like wtf b18 b1? lol he didnt even know what it was. hopefully he'll do the vtec hybrid and actually get some power. lol

Those, civics/tegs with motor swaps are crazy *** biotchs... gotta watch out for those cars.. the weight to horsepower ratio kills us... It is real hard to hear another car in lift.. especially when our 2nd runner opens at 5k, after that i cant hear anything.. nice kills, and good runs, just get the launch, and those MM they help alot!... I ran a b16 crx and killed him twice.. afraid to run a b18, maybe my friend with a GSR will run, gotta catch him before he puts it away to go turbo soon!...

I'd just like to point out that 40 MPH rolls are not a strong point of the WRX. Any car with an AWD setup is at a disadvantage in this type of competition, where a FWD or RWD setup is king at racing from a roll..

true.....wrx will rape you from a dig. soooo much traction. going from a roll eliminates the wrx's big advantage of awd.
