i was searching for the fastest 0-60 time, and what do you know.... the fastest i found was a lingenfelter corvette. I have been saying that for about 2 years, and most people dont believe me. Anyway, this is a street car on pump gas.

http://www.fast-autos.net/lingenfelt...lter427tt.html

yes, that is a 1.97 sec 0-60, 4.33 sec 0-100, and a, 8.95 sec 1/4 @ 153 mph.

now tell me you wouldnt like that in your garage?

I wouldn't want it in my garage even for free. I would sell it if I got that car for free. That car just ain't practical and you probably kill yourself doing something stupid on the highway with it.

I hope you are refering to a mclaren formula one car and not the mclaren f1. The production mclaren f1 did 0-60 in 3.2-3.4, depending on who you ask (i believe 5th gear reported 3.2, most i have seen say 3.4).

edit: for those of you who dont know, 5th gear is a british car show that simply kicks ***. as does top gear

Pffft, you never found my car, I'm surprised it wasn't on that site I could rip that car apart and spit it out, just check out my timeslip data, lol. I can easily get sub 1 second 0-60 times, no sweat. Under 3 seconds to 100 too, and a sub 5 second 1/4 mile @ well over 200 mph. Also my car can hold 5.0+ g's on the skid pad, and that's in the wet! Pretty damned good for only 127hp, it's all about the VTEC...

Ok no seriously, the Lingenfelter Corvette is an amazing piece of machinery, I wonder what they'll be able to do with the C6 Vette... imp:

I think that's average. Mine is also 9 - 10 days. . I mean seconds. . lol.

I haven't been to the track or anything, and with a needle gauge it's hard to tell exactly when you hit 60, but for a stock Vic, 8 or 9 seconds is about right.

Depending on your parts, which I didn't look up, you are about $1000 worth of mods on your car and you are doing 8.5? You gotta drive that thing like you mean it.

Haha, My Taurus SHO can do 0-60 in 6.7.. Get real. Get a V6.

If I had that much for my Lincoln Town Car I'd be pushing easily about 8.5 sec with a 4,300# car!

It's all about torque off the line, so if you can possibly find it with a 4 cylinder, supercharge or turbo will do just that.

VTEC is not all that great you should know.. DOHC is an upgrade, not VTEC. Most guys with powered VTEC's shut them off anyhow.
