As for the SRT4, i haven't even seen one around here but if i get a chance i'll race one and tell ya how it goes. Again a perfect example of someone who doesn't think before he posts. I do recall saying what my mazda runs already, so before you try to say "This car will roast you"

Exactly my point, people speak from personal experience or what its like where they live. But hardly consider that it might not be like that everywhere else.

Thanks for the support however this thread has gotten so far off topic, i doubt it will get back on track. If they want to call me a ricer/stupid/idiot etc then more power to them they can think what they want. Im just waiting to see what dumbass comment snipersi will make next.

lol I just noticed someone mention the mazda speed. Um I will admit I don't know much bout mazda but the only one I can thin of is that 170 hp version that sux a$$. it's like a mid 15 second car at best. how would that even come into the picture? There are some I/H/E vics that could beat one?

Chill. Boost has some fun riding around looking for people that think they are fly. I dont care about **** like that. It pretty fun. He has some good stories and I find out what cars not to run against when I drive out there at what ever point. May on top of may people own more or other cars than a civic. Celica posts here a lot, so stop flaming about owning a different car. This is on the internet, so that means anyone can dial-up and get on the site.

Boost: I've been out to Laf. a few times. Are you by the college? Where is this rice shop at? I live a good hr- 2hrs. away from there. Maybe meet up some time. I'd like to check out the car. Power to ya.

I live about 20 minutes away from UL, right on the outskirts of Youngsville. Im getting a drom after this semester so i can wake up like 20 minutes before class starts instead of 2.5 hours ahead like Im doing now.

The rice shop (AMS) is on Johnston St, Its in a brown strip mall, all the way in the back. This strip mall is next door neighbors with the Hampton Mitsubishi dealership. You can't really see the shop from the road unless your really looking for it. But they have a big blue sign out front.

But yea if you ever come to Lafayette again just PM me ahead of time and we can meet up.

Thats because the 15 year old kid (snipersi) started speaking before the started thinking again. Instead of finding a car that runs a 14.2 or under. He just named some cars he thought were fast without doing any research as to how fast they really are assuming they will beat my POS mazda. Oh well i can't blame him I thought the Mazdaspeed was going to be much faster but after racing one i don't hold it in such high standards now.

I just think it's ironic that he IS one of the people that thinks he is fly. The whole thing about going out cruising to find a race is understandable, but by the way he goes about doing it...he's no better than the "rice" he hunts.

Sweet. I'll try to do that. Not to get off subject, whats your major? I might be out there this weekend if I can make it from UNO class on saturday. My GF is in the band and there is a marching festival for marching bands this saturday. I feel you about the 20 minutes before class. I drive every morning in rush hour traffic and evening. I go 6 days a week. I'll try to come out this weekend, but I'm not sure if I can. Keep up the races and get those ricers.

lol I guess I'm a ricer too with my stickers and my big A$$ wing on an other wise stock car. here's a pic of it the night before it died. lol this was with no seats so its really high off the ground. Had it all ready for the track which it never made it too

Everyone had there own personal definition of what is and isn't rice.

IMO, i think rice is a driver that talks alot of trash but doens't have the car to back up his words. I on the otherhand actually have the car to back up the trash I talk.

Also how would YOU go about trying to find a race. Theres really only a few ways to do it, and you would probably see everyone of them as rice. But oh well, to each his own.

So if you were to race me...and I handed your **** to you, would that make you rice? Because the cars you race are cars that aren't even expected to be able to compete with yours. Just like your car wouldn't be expected to run with mine. In my eyes YOU are the one who talks a lot and doesn't have the car to back it up. Just like in the eyes of lets say a highly modded 03 cobra, I would be the one who talks a lot of trash and doesn't have the car to back it up.

In conclusion, we are ALL rice.

Um long story short and non technical a spring broke in my tranny and over reved the engine cause I was goin 90 at the time it happened and blew my oil pump bending more then a few valves and basically toasting my motor.

the new one is on its way from Japan along with new tranny and since my clutch was due to be replaced soon and flywheel was a il scared I ordered a 2nd stage clutch/pressureplate kit and an 8lbs flywheel which is half the weight of stock. Also we made custom polyurethane mounts. I may also add a CAI soon too. so when I get my car back I fully expect to run 14.2 ish with that setup!! The downside is won't race again til next year cause of breaking in the engine and in case any problems develop.

Ah, but you forgot one thing. When i go out to mess with the ricers. I know i can beat them, however they are convinced they will roast me. The majority of them will laugh at my car before a race.

However if i were to race you it would be different. You know you can beat me, but more importantly I know you can beat me, and i have no problem saying that. It will be a cold day in hell before you see me talk trash to a Supra, RX7, 03 Cobra owner because I know they are faster than me so talking trash to them would be pointless.

Thats the difference between me and the ricers. I know the limits of my car, they on the other hand cannot admit that certain cars will beat them.

I raced a pinto once! he ran a 5.9 in the 1/8 I ran a 9.5 he finished before I made it to the 330 mark

But shat...I don't know why ya gotta flame him for roasting some "ricers". I think it's cool the way he's gotta defend himself against that big group of 16 year old rice-cakes.

Well I think my "ricer hunting" days are almost over simply cause there aren't many left dumb enough to try to race me. After putting on the downpipe, removing the cat I am now running exactly 1 bar of boost. So any chance they had before is gone now. And the HKS camshafts are in the mail mmmmmmm cams ahhhhhhh.

Anyways there won't be any ricers picking a fight with me cause of the show I put on this past saturday night. Theres this 1st gen AWD DSM with cyclone motor in it and a larger turbo. They all look up to him as god cause he's the only one with a turbo, and none of them are even close to him, not by a long shot. Anyways after shooting pool saturday I go for a ride around town and find myself driving next to this DSM (i had met the guy before) he signals for me to follow him, i do. We arrive a parking lot off of a long side road, just us two. Within minutes there were imports filling the parking lot. Apparently they were he to see my race and a couple others. Me and the DSM line up, a flagman steps out between our cars Im thinking "Hmm a typical street race". We both raise our revs, the flagman points at both of us seeing if we are ready. We both nod. He raises his hands, Im holding it at 5000 RPMs. He drops, we both take off. Too my suprise i took him by 2 carlengths off the line despite him also having AWD. About 1/8 mile down we pass the parking lot where everyone is parked, he is slowly pulling up on me but i still have 1 carlength on him. a couple yards farther down and we are bumper to bumper. By the time we pass the finish line he has me by 1/2 a car but has stopped pulling as my boost apparently only hits 1 bar when im going fast (not in 1st or 2nd). So there you have it, they were all there to see it. The fastest4 cylinder import they could come up with only put a 3 foot difference between us over the course of 1/4 of a mile. When we returned to the parking lot everyone was asking who had won? The driver of the DSM came over shook my hand and said "Good race". As we watched the other races Accord vs Accord, Prelude vs Prelude and a Mach 1 vs crotch rocket <-???? why?. Some people had come up to me saying they were impressed with the car.

So unless a whole new group of imports show up in town I don't think I'll be finding any races anytime soon.
