my first track experience

well i finally got my car back and fixed after it being hit while it was parked about a month ago. i took it to the track for the first time today.. busted my cherry haha.. i had 2 runs.. VERY SLOW.. lol remind u that i have full system, heavy rims, automatic, spare.. etc...

my first run vs a prelude wanst good. my reaction time was bad becuase i was not paying attention.. i was looking at the guy that presses the light.. rather then watching the light.. LOL

R/T 60 1/8 MPH 1/4 MPH

his car .358 2.585 10.692 69.19 16.342 87.47
my car 1.035 2.749 11.826 60.60 18.252 77.01

WOW IM SLOW.. lol

the 2nd run was crazy... i was up against some kinda of old sschool chevy that was louder then HELL big giant drag radials..plexi glass windows.. man.. crazy..

R/T 60 1/8 MPH 1/4 MPH

his car .167 1.803 7.456 93.73 11.620 116.65
my car .290 2.667 11.680 60.69 18.110 76.63

damn!!! that guy ran 11 seconds.. it was fun though.. i think im addicted now.. haha

maybe i can run a lil faster if i drop weight..
makes me wanna get my SF turbo even more now.

my first time i ran a 18.32 @ 75, needless to say i was one sad panda.

But then i was informed by a guy whos there alot, that his truck ran a 14.5 the week before but cause of the weather he ran a 15.5 that day. He said subtract 1 second and thats what i should run in good weather. Atleast i wasn't the slowest car there, a escort wagon ran a 22.7

ouch!..yeah heavy rims do slow you down...through the stock
firestones back on when you race and drop the pressure to 23 lbs psi...
you should get at least a 2.3 60ft then and a better run. I assume
you were hopping a lot and that's why your 60ft time was slow.

what psi would be recommended if i was to keep my 205/40/17's still on? they recomment around 40 psi for regular driving. cause i had the same problem of them "hopping" when i started up.
