Civic Si learned not to mess!!!! Today I was at a red light and making a right hand turn, when this lowered blue 99 SI pulls up behind me. So i didn't think anything of it till he turns right with me and for some reason i just knew he was going to try and race me ot something so we ended up gunning (he was behind me in the other lane because he pulled out behind me) it at the same time and needless to say he didn't pull an inch on me(he was still i the other lane and the same distance from when we pulled out) and ended up slowing down and turning left. I bet he figured he was going to fly right pass me. From what I saw he was lowered on stock tires and rims with an exhaust that sounded like pooo. haha. And now i will list my mods for ya

I have an 2002 Si, and that and the 00 Si are pretty even.
I destroy Celica GT, they are only 140 hp. How can you say you hang dead even with a 140hp toyota and you hang dead even with a 160 HP Si, and all you have is a 120 hp LX, with mods.
I only say this because i had a 2001 LX with i/e/h and i couldnt hang w/sis so ummmm i dunno just ringing in

Rep Power: 0 Sorry for being my first post... But yeah it was a driver's race... the kid prolly left it in gear or something... Did u downshift or not??? I eat 99-00 civic si's anyday with the same mod's as me and civics with little mods are a cakewalk also... I am trying not to brag but come on man... U are saying u took a 99-00 civic SI that receives bigger upgrades than u... Why didn't u go for a top-end race then cause he just has an "exhaust" he prolly has no torque to compare... U are an autocrosser i am sure u have torque... u def. need it cause u barely ever shift past 4th gear (if u lucky enough to shift to 4th) but yeah thats just my .02 on the whole thread.... Nice kill btw

I have 02 EX/Si w/ I/H/E and the 99 has SRI only and still he's
faster and no its not the driver I drove it and it can pull pretty hard
(more then a lite modded EX and definitly the LX)
my bro's 03 SiR has I/E and he is faster but neither are by much.
Now the RSX-S will just kick our asses I drove my boy Anthony's
02 Type-S and man that thing f#@kin pulls real hard.
Anyway if it was an SI/SIR he wasnt trying as hard as he was capable.
I just raced an RSX today after work and I just left him at the lights(premium I think)
I was ahead for a little bit then he just ripped right by me.
Theres like no point comparing their DOHC engines to our SOHC
unless you have some FI or some more serious modifications.
Just my experience.

And its up to you whether you want to believe me, but today an SI thought he was something special and thought wrong. don't get me wrong I don't think i and the fastest car out there because i am not a ricer, but I was glad to see that some of my work has paid off. About the RSX-S thanks for the old news.

would you guys with Si's stop being so retardedly ignorant? Why is it sooooooo hard for you all to believe that NONE of you can even imagine somebody with an si losing to a modded lx/dx/ex EVER? Agreed that we've been through the em vs. ep a million times, but ****ing damn, your cars are not unbeatable and neither are the drivers. If an Si driver wait just 1/2 a second longer because they had bad reaction times, he would be dead even with a modded em... you all know that too. 1/2 a second goes by REAL quick so you guys need to accept that everyone here is not the best driver in the world ... I am not saying I am either

The older SI is one of the fastest civics out there. 160hp DOHC, and if you add a vortech supercharger that goes up to 271hp. Even stock our 7th gens are no match for them unless the guy was just learning how to drive.

00 si = no 'out of the pocket' take off unless you rev that bitch to all hell..
Their vtec engagment is way up the rpms
Our vtc is running the whole time and our vtec engagment is at 2700 rpms.
We take off faster and harder, 00 make up for it its long 3rd gear,
we walk away from them at the top of 4th
I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT BECAUSE I RACE THEM ALL THE TIME.
Mods or no mods thats how the race always ends up
