If you want to do something different, do a swap. If I was to swap a K-series into my EX heres what I would do. I would get a K24A3 motor and swap the K20A2 head on it. The K24A3 motors are cheap and I've seen them go for $1200. Then get a K20A3 ECU and a K20A2 tranny. I know that Hondata is working on a FI reflash for the K-series ECU, but I'm not sure if they are done with it yet. The K-series motors can take high revs so it would be fine for it. Then to top everything off I would get either JRSC or a turbo kit.
Hell even with simple bolt ons, the K24 motor will make large amounts of power. If you want ot go N/A get the K24 block, K20A2 head and tranny, K20A3 ECU, and hondata for the higher revs with I/H/E. One of the guys on ephatch.com swapped the K24 motor in his EP with the A3 ECU and A3 tranny and makes 170whp and 150wtq. And he has I/H/E and a test pipe. He is getting the stock A3 cams regrinded and will put them in. Last I remember he has a 65 shot and made 225whp and 265wtq.
Oh and the guy(aka K24SI) on ephatch.com that swapped the K24 motor into his SI, told me that he used the stock K20A3 motor mounts except for one. He had to put the right(or left I can't remember which) K24 motor mount in to do the swap. So with the Hasport motor mount kit for the K20 swap, all you should need to do is swap one of the mounts for the K24 mount. I'm not %100 sure on this, but it sounds like that would do it.

This whole topic is talking about what to do to get a lot of power, and how hard it is to get traction and be able to go anywhere with a ton of power in a civic. Like it was said before, EM2@DC5 has a hard time getting any traction, due to making 425whp. Yeah, its bad *** to say I've swapped a type R motor and boosted it into my civic, but your not going to beable to drive anywhere without breaking loose all the time. I think its pointless. JMO. Thats why you should just boost what you have and be happy with it. Or do the swap and do basic bolt ons or supercharge it and leave it at that.

thats what im saying.. i just ran a 13.80... @ 102mph.. on 2 YEAR OLD 555rs with NO tread left, and on HEAVY steelies, with my 19s on back.. i didnt buy swap cause i dont need to spend the money to be fast.. for 3-4k more.. i can have motor capable of 400+ whp.... and high 11's with right hookups... dont hate man.. i just have yet to see the K20 swap being worth the money for our cars.. when its about 3k.. like GSR now.. then it will be worth it, but 5-6k for less WHP than im making for cost of SF kit.. thats just DUMB to me.. then you want me to do a 4-5k cybernation kit on top of that... and just be boosting a stock motor.. wont last long on more than 10psi.. and will still only be 50 hp more at the MOST.. wieght difference and cost difference KELL that off... thats my reson... and bring on K swapped cars... i'll take em.. i cant grip either.. or id run low 13s....

all this turbo stuff...really if youre going to talk about money, take the 3k turbo kit and spend that money on building the motor up. then just spray a 200 shot. you will have way more hp and torque than a turbo kit on an unbuilt motor.

ya, wouldn't be worth it...plus if u forgot one little item on your build up, the 200 shot would turn into a self destruct button...
