why did i beat a bonneville
ok, i have a 2002 lx auto. i was at a red light, 2 lanes, but right after the red light, the 2 lanes become one, so the person in the right lane has to merge into the left. well i was in the left, that way i would just have the straight shot and would definitely not have to merge. (i enjoy the racing feel, even though my car is slow). so anyway, this bonneville pulls up, V6. and i know they are pretty fast because my mom had one. (it was like a 96 or 98 or something). so we take off, and the lady is FLOORING it, trying to get in front of me, and i was flooring it. and i beat her. why is that? at that light, i seem to beat alot of people , who actually try to beat me. and they dirve vehicles that i know are more powerful than mine. i know my car is slow, i have done NOTHING to the engine. i was just curious.

she's a girl that's why!!!
(jus kiddin ladies) nah but maybe she just wasn't trying hard enough and was letting off the gas cause she wasn't to sure if she could beat you!!!
Anyways what kinda lady a young girl or old lady? cause if you were trying to race a old lady that was trying to merge over then that's just wrong man!!!!

when there is a car in the left lane, i get in the right lane. but if there is no one in the left lane, i get inthat one, because you would lose SOME time, not alot, but like half a second maybe when you have to merge over. this way, in the left lane, you just keep your hand locked on the steering wheel... and do nothing else but press the gas. i love that feeling ;-)
Maybe her car was a piece of crap????? Engine shot to ****????? Just cause your moms was fast doesnt mean every one will be. Its an individual situation. Do I really know what im talking about??? Probably not!!

Probably a combination of things.
Lady = Obviously not trying hard enough
Car = If it's more than about 5 years old, trust me, it'll need a tuneup
Circumstances = She probably, at some point, figured it wasn't worth it
No offense, but pretty much any Bonneville would annihilate a Civic any day of the week.

Yes, If im not mistaken the bonneville uses GMs 3800 Series V6, would absolutely EMBARASS any civic any day of the weak (within reason of course) I drove the 2000 Pontiac Grand prix before.. with the 3100 V6, and for 160 HP, that thing pulled VERY strong.

heres my theory... since her lane was ending, she wanted to get over, she assumed she could just speed up a bit, and merge over in front of you. you were like, "ohh, no you didnt" and sped up, the woman was probably like, "wtf is she doing", so she sped up still trying to merge in front of you. as her lane started to end, she probably let off the gas to get behind you and avoid getting ran off the road. you thought, "i just beat a bonnieville", she thought "damn street racing civics! f u!"
either way, good kill i guess
