somethings not right here..

ok me and my friend went out in the boonies 2 days ago to run a quarter mile. we used the trip guage to mark it off. at first we marked off 0.4, which is way over a 1/4 mile but we both suck at math. and i ran like a 23 and then a 20. then we figured out what was wrong and went back. then he told me a quarter mile was 0.32 or something like that so we set it to 0.3. which is also wrong. fist time i ran a 17 and then a 16. he gave me an extra second to acount for the fact that an extra person was in the car and the strip was on sort of a hill so i couldnt get a good launch. so he told me 16 and i was happy. but then i got to thinking, 0.32 isnt a quarter mile, its 0.25. so im like ****! then i thought even harder....if i ran a 16 going more than a 1/4 mile...then what will i run if i do it correctly. i asked my friend and he said a 14 or 15 and im like no thats impossible with the mods ive got....so whats the deal? ive been contemplating this for a while now. we dont have a 1/4 mile track here so its impossible for me to go test it correctly. the only things ive got is aem cai, hp racing header, magnaflow exhaust, and a little bit of weight reduction.

with sticky tires, and if you drive a stick you should be running mid to low 16's. I have the magnaflow cat back, a short ram intake, 15 lbs wheels and sticky tires, and i ran 16.4 @ 86 my first time at the track.

BTW your friend must be a moron...one extra person in your car is NOT going to come close to equalling a second off your time..100lbs for .1 a second...so unless your boy is 1000 lbs...

Go get a Gtech
