Too bad the new Si's are slower than the old ones and look like a mini Odyssey. If we wanted a fast car, we would not have bought a civic...plain and simple. So take your Si and stick it sideways up your a** because no one cares if you beat a civic ex. I would certainly hope you do since you paid for the faster car. Race a WRX or an RSX-s, then come back and brag.

Rep Power: 0 Ok All I am man enough to say how misinformed I was, I thought the Ex sohc ran in the low 16 range, from somethings I had seen and heard, but it would seem I am wrong. Now as for that h22 thing, I am still going to pursue it, and after I lose of course for all the doomsayers, I will mod. Thanks for all the infor though everyone.

Well don't know where you are from but if you are from Socal we've got some nice tracks!!! lol I like the EX way better than the SI anyways. It shoulda never been made. they shoulda kept the EX style and put the K20 in and called THAT an SI. lol you just got the left over washed up ideas and now your mad

Rep Power: 0 I drove a prelude a couple months ago and still they arent all that hit vtec and it goes hard before that it is just kinda there, as for the whole si thing Havent drove one so I dont know about performance, looks um....maybe if i could find a good body kit..

Stock 6th gen 99-00 Si's have hit 15.1-15.2
I have yet to see a new Si hatch hit that stock. I myself ran a 15.3 with my Si when it was stock, and then ran a 14.9 with intake header and exhuast and better tires.
My friend also had a 14.77 with i/h/e/tires in his 2000 civic Si.
IMO, those numbers show the older Si was faster.
if you think that honda's intent was to make the new Si faster than the old one you are wrong. Their intent was to make the new Si the hatch that everyone had wanted since the days of the CRX and make it more of an auto-x and modder's car than anything else. (hence the reason the engine responds well to mods)
Yes.... the old Si IS faster than the new Si in stock form.
