Has this happened to you on a daily basis?
before you civic owners read on i would like to say this is my personal opinion and that i am not writing this as an insult to anyone, but myself
.......so your at school or haning out with friends or kicking it at a local hang out and the dreadful question arises, what kinnda car do you drive? in your attempt to not lose too much face you say i drive a civic but before they can reply you strongly emphaisze that you bought it for the gas and that your previous car was unreliable.
has anyone other than me had a similar situation as i have described?

ha ha, i actually get up on everyone else when they start whining about how its "just a civic". I LOVED mine to death and Ill stick up for one whenever someone else puts them down.
Ive never been ashamed to say i owned a civic before and i would gladly go back to one if i needed to, although i am sorta partial to nissan now, especially with my upcoming sileighty project.

I understand. I cringe whenver I tell people I have a Civic...and I have the Si. Everyone associates Civics with teenage fanboys who rock neons and big wings. I'm 24 and my car is stock for the most part (on the outside anyway), but people still think I race or something.
I could of afforded pretty much anything I wanted, but the obvious strengths of the Civic is what attracted me to it. Damn riceboys. And there are alot of them on this website, but they'll never admit it. I may be sterotyping like I get, but the majority of the cars on here are riced out or to the common person...look riced. Not an insult I know no one personally, but just the pics of the cars on here and some of the language gives it away.

why are you ashamed you drive a civic? its not like its a souped up geo or something. if any one ever said "do you drive a civic?" id be like hell yeah i do. true wed all rather have a supra or rx7, but then again not all of us are a bunch of cash chuckers. hell today while at a muffler shop some middle aged guy with a 5.0 drag car was there that had 350 horses and he was talking about how much he admired my car. i take pride in what i do with my car and im respected for it.
