Ive chirped in 3rd once. The road was kind off wet from it raining, but I did chirp the tires. Of course it was on the stock firestones.

The third gear scratch is possible...At the time my 01 EX had only a full-length 4-1 header (once again not a DC or any other common brand header) with a 2.5 inch mandrel bent custom exhaust. I also had at the time 195x50x15 Bridgestone's (that would be like having a ring and pinion change in a rear wheel drive car) and was able to obtain a 3rd gear scratch on occasion.
