Angry Fast and Curious?

Ok here the deal, I've only been in VA for a little under a year, but I want to know why damn near everytime I get out on the road some...well i dont want to say ricer because its mostly domestics, try to test my car. I mean the only noticable mod i have on my car are euros but dodge creons think that it is an absolute must to pull in close behind me, dramatically switch lanes and then dart in front of me like we are auditioning to play tyreses stunt double in 2 fast 2 furious?

I mean please tell me that it happens everywhere and not just in this chumtrap of a state.

Also, could someone please tell me the point of me stopping at a red light and any truck f-150 and above pulling in so close on my tail that i can see the dragonfly the dude hit summer befor last in his grill. I mean WTF am i supposed to be scared that you drive a BIG truck and wear tight pants? I mean i like trucks just as much as the next frightened black youth but W...T...F...

Please forgive me...i have issues...

I hear you with the big trucks. A friend up mine was stopped on a hill, and a big truck pulled up right behind him, like within inches, so when the light turned green he tried to go.... but when he let off the brake to hit the gas he missed and rolled straight back into the nice big chrome bumper of some truck. It messed up his trunk and bumper big time. The guy in the truck was pissed off, and making a damn fool of himself in traffic because his "hunt'in fool" license plate was messed up. Well when the cops arrived...guess who got the ticket? The truck...apparently there is a law for following to close...who knew?

Seems like people like to stop as close as they can while on a hill. I don't know why but they usually do. What I do is let my car roll before they get a chance to stop. Usually it will cause the other person to stay stopped while I move up a bit and actually brake. Other times, there are the retards that move up even if I move up a millimeter.

I've had my car for almost 3 years now and have never had another car try to race me. Not sure why, but anyways I wouldn't. Keep it on the track.

It just depends where you live, or actually let me rephrase that: It just depends what kind of idiots you have living around you.

CivicRookie is right about the idiots that live around you. Where I live its not to bad. Never really raced anybody except my brother. But I do get people who ride my ***. Like the other day I was going down one or our main streets. (its actually called Main St.) and its two lanes. Someone is beside me and all of a sudden I look in my rear view mirror and their is any acura integra '96ish right on my ***. So what I just do is give the brakes a quick tap....then they get the message. Then he gets in the right lane to turn and I see him rolling down his window to yell or something, but just looks over for a quick second and takes off.

I kind of realized people like picking on me too. Just yesterday a Mazda 626 got beside me at a light and started reving on me. Except for an intake, my Civic is bone stock! Whether at a light or on the road I get this about 2 or 3 times a week. I kind of noticed though that it's mostly Cavaliers, Focus' and Neons that pick on me though. Ah, whatever... I just ignore them.

Tell me why this is? I mean I wanted a civic wayyy before I ever saw F&F, since hight school. I think people have something against our cars. The market for civics is unmatched IMO. I didnt really get my car for speed purposes for our price range I dont think that there is a better looking car. Period.

I think it has to do with the Civic being one of the more popular cars in the import scene (of course not ours, but it's a Civic so everyone will associate us with the rest...). I think alot of people share a great deal of anomosity towards the Civic. They feel the need to put us in our place since it's not really fast, etc...

People think every civic is just another wannabe racer, so people want to be an a** about it. When we actually work hard on crap. I know when I am out on the streets I get no respect at all. Especially in my crew, I started stock with them only cuz my friend was in it so I had to work hard. Even when my mods are on they never let me pass. Thats why I left and went solo.

You're just realizing this? The Civic is the most overrated "performance" car ever because it's not even a performance car, people just drive around stupid in them like it is one.

Put your stock taillights back on and see what difference removing the ricetezzas makes. You may like them but it's most definitely what's attracting all that unwanted attention because your car says, "I'm a ricer outlaw that drives a fixed up Honda."

It's a lot safer when you don't have to look like you do things to it.

That's totally different. They aren't thinking his car is a race car more than it being a POS for having Euro taillights.
