I paid for the exhaust September 27, 2005. When I paid him for it, I told him I HAD to have it by Saturday, October 8, 2005. I was going to a car show this weekend, and wanted to have it by then (I never told him this though).
He drove around with it for almost a week. FINALLY shipped it out on the 6th of October. I made special arrangements with him to have it shipped overnight, or 2nd day, since he took so long. I would pay $28 out of the total shipping, he would cover the rest, since it took him so long to ship it.
If it was shipped 2day express mail, the package would've left on Oct 6, 2005. Been at my door on Saturday, in time for me to put it on my car, for the show. Nope, didn't come... Didn't come today neither, so now I am questioning if it was indeed sent 2day, or regular 2 month mail...
All I am asking for is a copy of a receipt, showing how much you paid, and that it is indeed 2 day shipping, its $28, I make that in about an hour or so at work. Why would I be trying to scam this guy for $28?
It's the thought that he took so long to send me my exhaust, and now doesn't want to provide proof of how it is shipped.
I have a tracking number, all that tells me is that it was shipped on Oct 6, 2005. nothing more.
USPS is closed today but their voicemail says they still ship EXPRESS MAIL items (which my package should be express mail) so it would've been here by today, at the latest.

proority mail is guarenteed to be delivered in 2-3 days. If it was sent on the 6th of october which was thursday, it would either have been there yesterday or possibly today if the address information was correct. also I may be wrong but if you did delivery confirmation, I think someone has to be there to accept the package, otherwise they wont leave it. But either way, you never send something to someone unless you have all the money upfront. Doesnt matter if mistakes are made, this is why people have problems.
Now both of you made mistakes on this transaction. Josh, if you agreed to send something out on a certain date, then you need to up hold that agreement. If he paid you on the 27 of sept. you should of shipped it that day or the next day. Not a week later. But its your fault that you dont have $30. You should have gotten that money before you shipped it out. You never ship anything out untill you have the full payment. I would be mad to I didnt have $30, but he still hasnt recieved his product that he paid for on the 27th of sept.
sweeteli99, when you do tell someone that you will pay the extra $28 for shipping, you need to pay them before you get it. its not "I will pay once I get it", you need to pay before. thats how business works.
this is another one of those internet transactions that went sour. It may end up being good, but people get ripped off all the time because they dont get the money they need before they ship it. Now josh, if you get screwed on $30, thats your fault. And it may or may not happen. If the item does make it to his door, and you dont get anything, tough luck. I am not trying to be mean or give you crap, but it seems like you didnt do this correctly.
I hope everything works out good, but just a word of advice, always make sure you ship items out when you say you will and always get the money upfront before you ship anything. This will cause less confusion and make for a better sale. But again, neither of you truly know each other, so its a gamble.

And joshb_: next time, just give me what I asked for, don't act like a dumbass saying you had homework or swapping a motor in your car or whatever other excuses you gave me, before you sold it to me, it should've been off your car. I've sold/purchased tons of things in this forum, and this is the only one that went sour. If I wanted to scam you, it would've had to be for an amount way over $28.00... I gave you $35.00 so you can put gas in your CRX. Have fun!

It shows that it was already delivered. So I am assuming you got it today earlier.
