Impulse: Refunded Money - Honest Trader!
I really hate doing this to another member but I have been taken advantage of by Impulse. I want to start by saying it really frustrates me to even make a thread about another member like this. However here are the facts
In October I purchased Fog lights off ebay and they cracked the day I got em. Before I got them installed I purchased an H4 kit off of impulse for $230 usd. The day the lights broke I pm'd Impulse and told him to hold off my order. Impulse being the nice guy that he is gladly said he would just refund my money. I figured I wanted my fog lights repaired so I told him I would send him my fogs and he would craft me new lenses and make yellow bulb covers. We agreed on a set price of $70 usd for the lenses / bulb covers.
I sent him the fogs in february. He tried to repair them and said he had no luck and that the fogs were misaimed. I then offered to purchase his fog lights off of his car. He said sure and was going to ship them to me and deduct the cost from the money he owes me.
On april 11 2005 he replied to my message

Impulse many times asked for my paypal adress so he could pay me the money yet he never did. So months went by and I didnt get these fogs. So I pm'd impulse he said the following

Did you recieve them yet?
There is a guy near me that wants the yellow capsules aswell... I' am ordering more of those capsules. I ordered the $50 ebay replica fogs for myself.
I honestly dont know why you havent recieved them yet but its bullshit that you didnt.
I feel really bad since u have been waiting a long fn time. When I get my ebay fogs, do you want me to send you them? or do you want me to do the yellow capsules on them, and send you yellow capsule fogs?
and how much do I owe you?

I responded I want the yellow ones.
Since this day Ive been sending impulse weekly messages, weekly messages that have been ignored. I even pleeded with him saying I understand that hes a student (I am one too) and if money is tight to just say so and I could wait for the money. Instead I have just been ignored over and over and over again.
So to sum it up here are my losses
$230 usd for the H4 fogs
$70 ($130 cdn with taxes) ebay fogs w/ one broken, shipped to Impulse never returned
$50cdn for Telly to install them - Id like to point out that he also cut himself installing it, poor telly had trouble using chop sticks for a week.
$13cdn for postage w/ $100 insurance.
Impulse has also posted in the past few days so I know hes not on vacation. Its a real shame that I have to put up a post like this however the general community should know the actions of impulse.
I pretty much figured im out all this money and theres probably no way of forcing it out of impulse. I can proove through paypal screen shots that I paid him.
I invite impulse to tell his side of the tale.

that sucks man, impulse is a nice guy, i dont think he'd screw u over, he has a vendor license on the site anyways or did for his hids. plus i met him at a meet once, so keep us updated.

Like I said I hate doing this, I thought impulse was a friend, we've also spoken on a peronsal level before too, I even have a thread that praises him for his professionalism. I just hate being ignored. Its tough to work anything out when your just being ignored.
Ive seen this before on many boards, someone is a really respectable and honest trader, then theres a big group buy and they play the classic game of bounce with everyones money.
Like I said above, I invite Impluse to tell his side of the tale.

Yea, it might not be his fault or he's just really busy. I've talked to jay lots of times on aim he's a good guy. I order some 5k xtec lights on a saturday and got them on a Tuesday.

"Why are you ignorning me" a simple "oh its exam time" or "im low on money til next xmas" would have done the trick.
All Im asking for is a bit of communication and I will retract this thread, but I would strongly advise against doing further business with jay until he atleast posts his side of the story in this thread

Props to Jay. Possibly one of the BEST venders to deal with on 7thgencivic. I've heard jay come through time and time again with superb customer support and always gave refunds when necessary.

anyways what i want people to realize is that i have been sending stuff out through usps and they have ****ed me over a lot
so basically i have lost money by buying the products, by shipping them, and of course refunding because no1 is getting them, so, out of everything that has happened, i havent even made a profit

Rep Power: 298 Hey man USPS and UPS have both screwed me over a few times too. Even with insurance its a joke to deal with those people. They keep hiking up the postage and the service gets worse by the minute. I try to use FEDEX exclusively now. It is definetly tough to keep in contact with everyone you do bussiness with, but I guess this thread shows that if you let one slide through the cracks it comes back one way or another. Ah well at least everyone is happy and everything is straightened out.
