Stafford Fabrication-Am I getting ripped
I sent my money for a turbo kit back on sept. 2nd I sent it 2nd day! Ok, the date is now Oct.18 and still no kit. He first gave me the excuse that he was on vacation and someone broke into his shop and stole my BOV. So he had to order me a new one. so lets see that was 2 weeks ago!! so I finally got a hold of him after tons of calls and 2 voice messages and this time he said he is still waiting on the bov------------- And now for my favorite part, shipping was $90 ok and I got the upgraded bov from him (turbo xs rfl) he said the stock bov cost him $80 and I sent him an additional check for $70 to cover the RFL...So on October 12, I told him to ship my kit overnight using the shipping money and the money for my bov saying to him that I will buy my own bov...Still have yet to see my kit at my door! plus I had to buy my own bov....this kit cost me 3700 for nothing but my own bov so far!! Am I getting ripped off or just played with?

Do you have any idea how long it takes to make those kits? How many kits are being ordered? How high quality those kits are?
There are over 40 SF kits out there on cars right now. They probably have 5+ orders that they are working on now. Upgrades cost money and take more time to prepare.
I will talk to them for you, but I highly doubt that you are getting ripped. SF is very trustworthy and busy.

yeah I figured but he said a week ago that all he had to do was send it out (shipping overnight) and I will buy my own bov, still haven't seen anything or no tracking # I hope it gets here by monday night or I am putting a stop to my order.

Rep Power: 312 We did get broken into. They stole quite a bit of stuff. Everyone is lucky that they didnt steal our turbos. Right now we are building 5 civic kits, 3 celica kits, and a matrix kit. CivicTypeS, i can tell you right now your kit is being powdercoated to the red color that you wanted. We will pick it up monday and do our best to get it shipped out that day. We did have the kit complete, but it was the wrong color. Things like that happen, and there isnt much we can do besides fix it. We do our best to get everyone the best quality product AND everything they asked for.

And your fuel kit was supposed to be shipped to us overnight express, and it was shipped ground. So it got to us a right as we were preparing for sema. Since this is the first week after sema, you should be expecting it in the mail.

well still no boost controller, I had my turbo for 2 months now and still nothining, and he will not answer my phone calls............................................. ...I think it is time to go to the Better Business Bureau...or maybe he will answer my call...if he don't answer to this I will post a new thread of this almost dead on, SF is going to pay!!!

When you get our kit, you get a hand made manifold, hand made downpipe, hand made intercooler, hand made intercooler piping, hand made fuel system, and a custom turbo setup that you can only get through us. Our kit makes more power than any other kit, more upgrades, and the best warantee.
I could send you a $3 gang tee from walmart as a boost controller. I know that it works because i used to use them. But no, i am HAND MAKING your parts. The boost controller is not some bleed valve, it is an actual regulator that sets the pressure, not just bleed some off. It does take some time to make and to have machined out.
If it makes you happy, i could send you the gang T. But if you want the real thing, it takes patience because we are trying to give you guys the best part possible, not something that "will do" or "will work".

Rep Power: 347 word, sometimes you have to wait for something that is worth waiting for. Just ask yourself, now that your boosted, was it worth waiting for? I bet the controller will be also, hold yer horses.
well I guess I will just sit back and wait, I didn't think you just had three guys running your operation! I don't want no gung ho junk, I will just wait for the real thing, sorry for the crap talk, I just want more boost!

Rep Power: 811 If you want the best, be willing to wait for it. I'm gonna order my kit at least a year in advance and if it comes early that's even better. This is a custom kit that they're making for YOU. Maybe you don't realize what it takes to fabricate an entire turbo kit. Just give it time. They won't forget about you.
