i was wondering if i was the only one that had painted the plastic piece that fits right on top and around the guages.... i guess not...and nice job.
also is the piece that is right behind the sterring wheel, and in front of the cluster, spray painted? i was afraid that it might crack when i put in back in the car....please pm me about that.

Hey Weaponx12o,
I used 3 different kinds of paint... In canada it's hard to fine Plastikote, so I just went with a non-metal primer, automotive (honda silver) paint, and automotive clearcoat...
I first put about 5 coats of primer waiting about 5-7 mins in between for drying...
I did the same with each other paint... (just make sure you use small coats, but use more if necessary... it'll come out better, and less dripping will occur...)
I took the console off by using the DIY... so just check that out for directions...
I took out the vents by taking a flat head screwdriver and wedging it out... just becareful with it and make sure you don't scratch the actual vent or your dash... but thats about it... good luck... if you have any more questions feel free to ask...

the best thing to do is to paint it then have it clearcoated that way it doesnt fade or chip over time. If you use the covers you have to deal with them coming off when it gets hot. Plus its more money the get the cover rather than painting
