**update** K&N installed
**update** K&N installed
Just ordered a K&N FIPK from Circa X today
217 shipped, not too bad. Wish I woulda joined in on that GB a while ago, but its all good.
It should be here sometime this week, hopefully I'll have it installed by next weekend.
I'll be sure to post some pics once its installed. Anyone install one before? Is it easy? Is there anything I should take extra precautions with / watch out for?
Thanks

It's an easy install. The are a little sketchy - they you show about half of the screws you actually have to take out. If you have two working brain cells, this should be no problem.
Oh, putting the soft part on the heat shield is a bitch. You've got this crazy little plastic piece that doesn't want to bend, but it has to. That takes a bit of muscle and patience.
Haha... I got mine for $182 shipped. You still got it for a bunch off of list though.

I'm very satisfied with it also.
Aw thanks dude!! Those are some great shots
Such a clean install, I may do that same cut job that you did. Did you add that rubber surrounding on the top? Or did it come like that?

The heat shield comes with it. And I took temp readings with my Fluke and it did drop the temp from the rest of the engine. Hey, every little bit helps.
All in all, I have been really happy with mine. Especially when I was in Texas and drove through water up to my license plate. I was really glad I did NOT have a cold air intake that day.

Yea I have one & installation is a breeze & im not even too engine savy. But you dont have to cut the rubber part, just get a rubber mallet & beat the hell out of it, easiest way IMO only took me about 2 minutes. The performance gain is not too much but still noticable, it feels like you previously had a bunch of people in you car & they all got out, the sound is amazing too. All in all a great buy, much recomended, let us know how you like it.

Ok, so its installed. If somebody is able to host a movie of it, I'll be able to take a soundclip. So once somebody offers, you'll all have a sound clip.
Its so nice, I love it. It sounds soooo good at the higher RPMs. The install wasn't hard at all, even a 16 year old can do it
So yeah, you'll have a sound clip once somebody provides a place to host it.
That is all

Yes the K & N FIPK II is better.
I had an AEM CAI. the AEM piping would get hot from radiant engine
heat since it is metal.
The K & N is made out of a thick plastic and does not get as hot.
It gave me better low end torque and I could even make the stock tires bark in third gear.
It also has a deeper sound.
two thumbs up!!
