My car is dead. (updated again k20a2 here i come)
i was on my way home from my friends house last night. It hadn't rained out for 4 days but i saw this puddle in the highway. I didn't think nuthing of it seemed like it would just be alittle water on the road. Well aparently it was high tide on the river, and the water was about a foot deep. By the time i realized this i was already in to deep, it got deep out of nowhere. The car just stalled. Wouldn't crank, nuthing. So i had to push it out of the water, by my self, while people are honking at me telling me to move, *******s! So a tow truck is there to help another car out that got stuck behind me. I asked the tow guy if he could do me a favor and help me out. He towed the car into a parking lot and made me pay him 15 bucks. I have AAA so i called them, they said a tow would be to me in 90 minutes, now mind you it is 12:30am. After calling them 3 more times they finally deciced to show up at 3:15am. The car was brought to my friends gas station where it sits right now. He couldn't look at it today cause he was with my last night till 4am waiting for the tow. Hopefully its not that bad, more than likley it is.
Life sucks, water sucks, cold air intakes suck.
sorry for the long post but i had to vent alittle.

ahhhh......And this is the reason why I love my bypass valve. Just in case, you never know when something like this is gonna happen. From the depth of the water you described, it would have been plenty deep to cause the valve to function.
Hopefully insurance willl help you get your new engine.

Sorry to hear that dude that really sucks, hopefully it won't be too bad but if you need a new engine hopefully insurance will cough up the dough for a rsx type S swap
Hey Hawk, sorry to hear that. I hate to hear that happen to someone, especially one of my Rallye Red family members. I hope it turns out okay for you. Maybe you will end up having to get K20A... there could be a bright side to all of this

Damn! You sucked up H2O? or do you just have a ground loop short? I hope
everything is o.k.
If your in the market for a new and better intake, go with the
K & N FIPK II Part # 57-3513

i had a AEM CAI.
Update: Threw a connecting rod or 2, gonna start taking apart the motor today to determine exactly what i need. Might buy better connecting rods and pistons for my turbo project. Sugestions?

oh daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn....all of that cause of a CAI and a foot of water? no thank you.
but at least youll have a ballsier car now (in like a month or whatever if you get a loan and find a motor) maybe you should do a RSX type R swap (forgot what the motor # is on that).
and then save for a turbo? heh
