torque converter = auto tranny
Your car has a torque converter.
To answer your question: a torque converter is VERY WORTH IT!!!
You wouldn't go anywhere without one.

Do you mean you want to beef up your tranny?
If so, check out www.levelten.com.

If that's not what you meant, check out www.howstuffworks.com
You should read their articles on how cars work.
Hope that help.

Better than dumping money into an intake, header, and exhaust with downpipe cat and company stickers.

If you do want to beef up your torque converter...please contact levelten and ask them for a price qoute. I don't think there are many auto owners who have upgraded their trannys here.

If you are not familiar with what a torque converter is...you already have one in your car.
A torque converter is basically a transmission for an automatic.
Without a torque converter you don't have a tranny. And without a tranny to transfer the power to the wheels, you can rev the engine all day but you wont be moving an inch.

Did that help?
