GC coilover length

GC coilover length
Ihave gc coilovers, and the back is about 1/2 an inch or so lower than the front. THe guy at the shop said I can't put it up any further, or I'll crack the housings...
Which housing he means, I'm unsure of, but I have a 2 inch drop on the back and a 1 inch in the front after they settled in, I want to even it out, and not scrap in the back (only place i ever scrap). Is it possible to crack the housing just by putting it all the way up, I thought it was pretty high.. which is weird becuase of the difference in drop inches. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
