Mud flaps and lowering

Well first how well do mud flaps help on keeping the dirt off your car from the road...Im always having mud marks on fenders and wondering if the mudflaps would help much......And If i did get them..after lowering with goldlines 1.75" is it easy to mabye crack them? (speedbump, pothole, etc...)

**Opinions are appreciated!

Ah crap, I wanted to put this in the tech forum......if a mod sees this can u move please? ty

if you get rubber mudflaps they'll be less likely to crack. they do help keep your fenders clean, but they kinda look funny. get some bright colored ones like robinyip's ride - true asian style

Yeah Mudflaps really help my mom didn't have them on her last vehicle and she had major scratched and beaten up paint. She still doesn't have them on her new envoy and you can see tar and road crap all over the paint. I wouldn't own a car without them.
