Girlfriend just bought a 02 ex/si(canadian)
Well my girlfriend just bought a 02 civic si/ex and I gotta say that tho there is a power difference I enjoy driving her car more then my 97 prelude. It rides nice, drives good, looks good and has kickass mpg the only complaint is it could use a couple extra ponys but I talked to a couple ppl and they were telling me about changing chips or ecms which will help for a little more power plus adding the usual stuff of course I/H/E will help. But just thought I'd say I really like the new civics especailly the looks and am almost considering buying one myself.
I agree with your statment. Other than the lack of power I am very happy with my car. I have givin up on making it fast, and just working on making it handle well. You may beat me from a stoplight...but if we go around a bend...I'm leaving everyone behind

Since drivers usually don't sit in the back of their own civic...some may not know that the back seats are actually pretty comfortable

yeah....our civics are so compact and light that they whizz around corners. I love it!

I know some cars respond differently to mods. Maybe you guys can tell me how these cars respond to mods ,like is there any change in power if you add I/H/E? some cars seem to respond different to those mods and I also realize that you don't gain that much hp from those 3 things but even an extra 10hp helps. I'm just curious to see if it would be worth while adding that kind of stuff to gain some power or if it would be a waste of money cause there would be no gain at all. My gf wants to do some things to her car and I said let me look into what would be the best options for this car, so if anybody has any ideas on what route to go with the car let me know. Thanks
Sorry if this question gets asked 1000 times a day but i'm clueless on what to do with it.

i/h/e do help some, I dont think it is a waste. It isn't going t make a huge power increase though. you might get 10 hp from all like you are talking about. It does make it even more fun to drive however. You can also lower it and put wheels and tires on and that will help with the suspension. Stickier tires mean better handling and even a bit faster car. I would definately do the i/h/e and then work from there.
