Dealership can lick it

So I get the idea to remove my civic and ex symbols off my car, No big deal right? Wrong. 3 months after I removed them the paint started to come off "where the ex was” during a car wash. When I removed them I was VERY careful, didn’t scratch the paint etc, so im like that’s odd. Took the car to the dealership they said it came off due to me removing the ex, I explained iv washed my car prob 10 times since and it never did it. They proceeded to tell me it was my fault and they wouldn’t repaint it for free. They also tried to tell me the civic and ex are put onto the car when the paint is wet. BS – why would they do that? So after some 20 mins or so of me complaining and telling them im going to write American Honda they said ok we will repaint it, but its still my fault, and the only reason they are doing it, is because im a 1st time buyer. So I picked up my car last night, I check the rear bumper over, looks great, so I get into the car and tried to put a cd in, the stereo is now Fu#ked all it reads is ERR, and it thinks it has a cd in it. I get out of my car go back into the dealership they are like we didn’t even have the car in the shop, just the auto body shop, so I get a new deck out of this, but I REALLY hate dealing with this ***-h0les

Any one else have any bad experiences with the dealership?

You might have to enter the CD player reset code.

Everyone, IMO, has had problems with the dealership.

I took my car to get its oil changed (free), a day later the MIL came on and i took it back. They said they would correct the problem but i still had to pay $75 for the diagnostic. I said BS after about an 1hr of arguing calmly, they agreed to fix it.

What did you do to get it out, and has it ever done that again?

i believe its in the manual, but i think its something to the effect of holding the eject button down for 10 seconds or something like that, after some certain amount of time, it forces the stereo to push out anything jammed inside (the cd)

Well my Honda dealer has about 6 different tech manager at the service department... All of them are great except one... 2 months after i got my car i bought a set of PIAA super plasma from the dealer and have them put in it since it was free for the install... I went home and noticed that one is out of allignment so I took my car back and told them that I bougth the PIAA's from them and one of their tech installed them... They said that if I needed a head light adjusted they would have to charge me half hour of work.. I was like WHAT???? I bought it from you guys and you put them in.. I have to pay for it? his response was "yeah, any after market part, that caused the problem you are responsible" I was really mad and went home and messed around with the headlight. The headlight didn't click in right so I pushed around for a bit and it click and everything was fine.

i have never had a problem with my dealer. even with my aftermarket parts they are cool with everything. i scratched my bumper a week or so ago when i slipped on my driveway, had my keys in my hand, and caught the back end, putting a nice big scratch in it. they repainted it for me no questions asked. i guess i lucked out. well, this is also the 4 honda my family has bought from this place and my sister is looking at a civic as well.
