Thinking about shaving my emblems off

What do most people think on it? Hate washing and waxing around them. Plus the way some people like to steal emblems? Plus most people all ready know its a civic hehe

I think they look cleaner over all

Go for it. Its not hard, and it makes the back end of your car look much nicer. And for the idea of people knowing what it is, anyone who doesn't know a lot about cars won't know. I've had four people in the last week ask me what kind of car I have. They seriously didn't know.

This is probably the best DIY considering it should take less than thirty minutes and it makes quite a difference in looks IMO. But I just like the look of an uncluttered car.

i am doin it when i get my TCS in. i have a sedan and im a few dollars short on my exhaust. but hey, i feel it will give a smoother, cleaner look. i love how some people shave the emblems off their BMW's, some models look so pimp like that. i know that was kinda off topic.....

thirty mins? damn mine took 5 and thats including using my fingernail to get the sticky stuff off. i just took off the civic, ex, and "honda cars of bellevue" emblems. just take some waxed dental floss or fishing line and run it behind the emblems, bam they pop right off

Yea mine only took me 10 minutes. I used a flathead screwdriver wrapped with a towel and pryed with it. Then make sure to go over your car with some goo-off or whatever because even though the take stuff might be gone it will leave ghost lettering when it gets wet. It looks kinda cool but I cleaned mine off anyways.

Well I got around to doing it tonight, looks sweet. Yeah the EX literally almost fell off it wasn't on there very good at all. So have a lil bit of glue left on there but I will finish that off later. Yeah used some waxed dental floss and it worked great

A clean great looking MOD I would agree

Yeah I was working on getting my emblems off and they must have put like a superglue almost on the EX on the bumper. So when I heated it up and moved the glue off I found a small hole where I could see black under where the emblem came off. So there is still some of that glue left on there but I had to use touch up paint to try to fill in the hole to look decent I can still notice it but oh well. If it really annoys me I will just mount the EX emblem back on it.
