Kit without rims = Rice ??

Here's my situation. I have about a G to spend and was thinking whether I should get ADR gt-sport 17" or the OEM bodykit. a lot of my friends are saying that i should get rims, but if i get the kit, i have about $250 left over and can get something else like an alarm or a touring wing. I'm leaning more towards getting the OEM kit. I am in love with that kit! Do you guys think my car would like too "rice" if i got the kit and still had my hubcaps on? What should i do?

Nah, I don't think its rice, unless you run around town revving your engine trying to race everyone you see, lol! I personally would go with rims first, I think that would make alot more difference and looks better, improves the overall appearance more so.

I dont think it would be rice it just won't look to apealing personally if you buy the kit first just put it to the side tell you buy your rims no need to rush and put the kit on i see alot of ppl put there kits on with out even getting them painted they get all geek to start throwing what ever they buy on but hey its your car and do what you want your car reflects your personality

get the kit, take off the hubs, spray paint the actuall wheel glossy black so it actually shines, then get some other mod. believe me if your car is lower it looks better but hay it actually doesn't look too bad either

the oem kit doesn't look bad without rims. any other kit such as the xenon kit would look bad without rims.

i dont think its necessarily rice but i personally dont like it... i think rims is a must if your modding your car... a bodykit is something extra.. but then it is the OEM kit so i guess its not as bad.

Agreed. However, I think getting wheels first would be the way to go. It's amazing how much of a difference new wheels and tires make. If you get the OEM kit with your hubcaps, it won't be that noticeable.

Just get the rims. It's better to buy the more expensive mods first anyway. Then you'll be spending less and less money on the cheaper things you like.

I'd get the oem kit because it isn't amazingly low and keep on rolling with the stock hubbies. A lot of people take their rims off around winter time to keep the salt and sand off of them when it starts to get super cold. With the oem kit you don't have a big snow plow on the front to worry about messing up either. Really the only body kits I consider rice are the ones that are left primered and then put on. What are these kids thinking

I think you should get rims first, cuz then you can check what body kit goes with your rims. Some rims dont go with certain kits.

where are you getting your oem kit from? I know hondawerx has it but I dont want the whole thing, I just want the front lip but I am not going to pay for it off of hondawerx. I was wondering where I can find the cheapest oem front wing at.

Hondawerx sells it seperately. YOu can get the front for $215. If you buy the whole kit rather than buying piece by piece, you only save $5. So it might be a good idea to buy them separately.

I just bought my car and plan on the oem lips also but I went with new rims first. The rims you choose help you decide where you are going to go with the rest of the car in terms of style and color scheme.. But thats just my opinion...
