By sleeper, you mean the car will still be so slow that your passengers will most likely fall asleep during acceleration to highway speeds? Man, I'm harsh, but I'm so tired of people acting like our cars are/can be fast, lol. He's feeding his gerbils steroids, but they still aren't going to kill any dogs, okay? Even he admitted that it's a "toy." As long as he just has some fun with it, his money was not wasted.

IMHO... too many people in this forum (and in the import world) are obsessed with speed and quarter mile times.

how fast your car can go in a straight line thanks to turbo, nos, whatever, is really pretty boring stuff people.

try some open tracking if you want to see how your car performs. my "slow" 02 EX pretty much keeps up with anything under 200hp with me at the wheel on a good race track. why? because driving skill is not horsepower or nos or how fast your car can go straight. its cornering, traction, braking, and learning to drive the line.

instead of talking smack about horses and times at grannies 1/4 mile borefest, go haul some *** around your local real race track. once you have taken corners at 60, felt the tires almost break loose, felt the rush as you heel-to-toe downshifted around a bitch corner and then zipped out of it at high speed... you will never look at your car the same.

you dont need fancy guages or NOS, just a set of ***** and a helmet.

if you havent open tracked before, you are missing out on an experience of a lifetime.

amen, i agree wholeheartedly. there's a reason i don't like drag racing at all. there's so much more to experience.

ehhh. im not a fan of venom. ECU boxes just = more crap that can go wrong and screw your car up. Plus 1000+ bucks for the same powergains as a 500 dollar NOS nitrous or NX system.

"how fast your car can go in a straight line thanks to turbo, nos, whatever, is really pretty boring stuff people."

It’s a proven fact that speed (or at least the sensation of speed, since it can be duplicated with such things as VR simulators and what not) is a drug. The faster you go the higher you get, literally.

Now for a person standing still, watching said vehicle go fast may not get this thrill and shot of adrenaline, but that’s not the point. If someone says going fast in a straight line is boring, they obviously haven’t done so them selves. I find it hard to believe anyone would get out of a 11 second car after a 1/4 mile run and go "Yawn, that was SO boring!"

It’s all a matter of relativity and perspective. And your opinion is wrong.

i agree i have lots of show stuff on my car and audio stuff no engine and i have a few suspension items but if we are going 60 through a mountain road or any windy road i will bet u 50 bucks that u will not be able to keep up with me or catch me. i have a ex 5sp and i know how to drive. its not about how fast your car is its about what u can do with it, and it goes that way for a lot of cars that are underestimated...i dont wanna sound c**ky or stuck up or anything but its the truth guys, now if your hobby or love is drag racing and KNOWING that your car is faster then thats fun too cuz i used to be that way too. but just dont underestimate some cars. such as hondas civics for example

Your right, I'm c0cky (gay censorship) about my road course skills. Perhaps the fact that I gradated form Bondurant driving school, and actually own a set of real coilovers (not just a spring on a perch) which are attached to an actual double wishbone IRS allow me to think that way.

If you (or anyone else) would like more information on attending said driving school, visit Bob's webpage HERE

Edit: I believe it is you, who assumes that people who drag race their cars cant or dont drive hard in the tunrs and/or attend auto-x/road courses, that is underestimating things

The suggested price is only $699 according to the Venom site... Not bad compared to the $500 honda guru mentioned...

But then again im a newbie so I could be comparing apples and bananas

But for $699 it seems like a sweet deal! (And it'd prolly be cheaper at stores...)

Source -> http://www.venom-performance.com/NF/Html/vcn1000/vcn1000.htm

BTW... There is another system which goes for $1399 or sumthin... now that I would say is overkill.

And while we're on the topic of nitrous...

Where do you get the tank refilled once you're out? Do u go to local mechanic shops, or do u have to send out the bottle or what?

And how much would it usually run you to refill a bottle?
