Honda Dealer to the Recue!!

i recently started hearing noise coming from my brakes and i thought i had sticky calipers or something.. so i decided to take my car to the dealer because my car is still under warrenty... i took it there and they told me that my rotors were hitting my brake sensor... i have less than 12k miles on my car... they just told me i had really bad driving habits.. i.e. accelerating fast and braking hard... anyways... they told me if i brought in my car tomorrow morning, they would give me new brake pad and machine my rotors for free under the customer ' goodwill ' discount... meaning that their honda brake pads were crap and they'll replace it for free.... ONE TIME DEAL ONLY... the car also needs to have less than 12,000 miles on it.. my honda dealer kicks ****!!

Hmmmm I'm wondering about the civic brakes in general..... I don't have a problem with mine really, it's just the first time everyday I drive the car I'll hear the brake calipers "click" when I press on the brakes. Only does this the first time, after that it's fine.

you know, i went to my dealer to ask about some other stuff, and i asked him what their policy is on putting on aftermarket nissin brake pads (thats the company that makes the OEM pads) and other higher end aftermarket parts (brembo brakes rotors). and he told me that they wont put on aftermarket parts. so then i asked him about acura brakes, and he told me that if i go to acura they can probably put those on for me. he said he used to be an acura mechanic, and those brakes are much better than the honda ones ( no! really???) lol

so im thinking maybe when its time to replace the brakes im gonna get me some RSX-S ones...that might add a bit more oomph to my stopping power.

thread

Check that out, it might be what that clicking noise is that some of you are experiencing. Obviously not iamboo's problem, but I noticed clicking sounds too coming from my brakes, and I found this info. So check it out, I hope I linked that thread correctly.

Mine are already out at 13,000 miles. The tech guy told me most of the 7th gen civics are wearing out the pads at 9000-10,000 miles..phew~
