VTEC and CAI

Hi There,

I just bought my CAI last week and I am going to install it tomorrow. I just have a small question.
Do you notice the VTEC kick in with a noise or a loud sound on the CIVIC 2002 SI manual or EX?
is it when it reaches a certain RPMS or just gears.
I was curious because I was riding with my friend last time on his prelude 5th gen and his VTEC kicks in at 5000 rmps
and you really see the power.

Thanks

You won't really hear VTEC kick in with a CAI with the D17 motor.

At 4800 or 5000 or whatever it kicks in at, the RPMs will run up faster, that's really the only way you can tell VTEC has kicked in.

Looks good. Is that one of those CAI's off of Ebay? The filter design is better than AEM's. More surface area.
