well i just ordered the K&N fipk finally after contemplating it for a long time. seemed like the best option for what i want. lx, auto tranny, didnt want a cai because i will be installing a throttle body spacer and i think that the hood wouldnt clear a cai. price was 203 bucks, 217 shipped to wa state. okay im done, just had to let it out!

Rep Power: 0 supposedly 10-15 hp or something like that but i highly doubt it. maybe 1 or 2hp. but the tb spacer will get me up there.
in riceboy pwr id guestimate at least 30 hp from the intake, plus another 10 for the K&N sticker.

Rep Power: 0 why are you gonna get a TB spacer? they dont do squat on a DPFI car...only on carb. or TBI cars do they do anything...a TB spacer is there to allow the fuel to atomize better...but if there isnt any fuel there in the first place why put on on?

Rep Power: 0 Has anybody ever got on a dyno after getting an intake? Seat of the pants tells me it's about 3-4 horses for the CAI, less than that for short ram. Even at 3-4 horses, our cars get 101 horses at the wheels stock. That being the case, an intake gives us about 3-4% increase in overall horses. If you drive enough, that would be noticeable. Besides, who doesn't love that SSshhhh sound when you turn off the car. I think it's worth the price. Dollar for dollar, it's best thing, next to magnaflow exhaust.

Rep Power: 0 woooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! !!! got my intake today and just installed it!! took me 2 hrs and had to make a few little modifications, but it runs sweeet now!!! cant really tell its there til rpms get to about 3500 then its like "whoa dude!" i dunno feels like it added a little power, but maybe its just the sound. basically just a short ram with a heat shield, but it looks really good in there, better than most intakes ive seen. like that little "sst" sound when you turn the car off too. hehe my first engine mod!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! there i go!!!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 naw no pics yet i dont have a camera. prolly get pics this sunday tho at the meet. well i had to move my amp wires away from the battery more, gotta cut the seal that goes around the heat sheild (with thick shears), gotta reuse the vacuum clamp from the stock airbox. but its not too hard to get in there. hardest part was probably getting the vacuum hose on there, gotta trim that up too, its one tough sob. they put like 4 k&n stickers in the box! i guess each ones good for 1 hp since they say the intake adds about 4hp!!
